171: Gems's Ice Magic

Normal P.O.V

“Everyone's beat up...” Gray mumbled as he looked at his friends.

Gems, Wendy, Shelia, Charles, Laxus, Erza and Kagura were all in bad shape after they had to battle with the members of Spriggan 12. Gray on the other hand was not much injured since he was busy clearing off the soldier army.

Gray sighed as he could feel Gems's pain but he was also very proud that Gems didn't back away from a battle with a much stronger opponent.

It was almost night time, and they were able to get Hargeon back after destroying all of the enemy forces. Crime Sorciere was still on the battle field.

Wendy healed everyone in need as they rested in their base camp.

"We're heading back to guildhall, I'm worried about everyone there." Erza informed, as Mermaid Heel and Lamia Scale would look after the things at Hargeon. While Laxus still needed some more rest.

Kagura kissed Erza as an apology. It was a good content for Gray and Gems to tease Erza about later. While Wendy was shocked to have witnessed another kiss in the span of 12 hours.

"Think you can walk?" Wendy asked, but Gems needed rest as his thigh was covered in bandages. Gems was still in pain.

"He's fine on my back." Gray replied. Gems just blushed while looking away. "It's best for him to rest and not walk." he added. 

"Talk about a possessive boyfriend." Charles smirked.

"Caring." Gray corrected himself.

"You guys argue way too much." Erza complained. She let Laxus rest in the base camp of Lamia Scale, while they left to reach the guild hall.

Before Gray could respond, the sky lit up with red light. It was so bright, that it woke Gems from his slumber.

"What is this light!?" Gems asked as he looked around.

"Where is it coming from?!" Erza asked, because it was coming from everywhere.

"An enemy attack?" Gray asked.

"I'm not ready, please!" Gems complained as he tightened his grip around Gray. And so did Gray. They all closed their eyes as it was too bright for them, while Gray mentioned Gems to hold him tightly.

That day, Fiore was enveloped in light. The light took everything and everyone somewhere unexpected. That was Irene's Universe One spell which not only reshaped Fiore but also shrunk it.

"What is this place!?" Gray asked as he opened his eyes and looked around. It was a deserted place, with rocks all around.

"Seems like that red light teleported us?" Answered Erza.

"Where is Wendy? And Charles?" Gems asked. The group tried to search for them but no luck. Gems didn't have much energy left for him to requip and fly to search for Wendy and Charles. So Gray and Erza took turns to find her, but no luck.

Erza adviced them to move forward.

Gray carried Gems again on his back and the trio continued to walk their way towards the guild hall. But that light shuffled everything inside Fiore.

“Gray, do you want me to walk?” Gems asked out of concern. But Gray tightened his grip around Gems and shook his head no.

Erza smiled as he heard them.

As they walked, their eyes widened upon seeing Mercurius Palace right besides Kardia Cathedral.

"I don't remember Kardia Cathedral being this close to Mercurius Palace?!" Gems gasped.
