155: Found, But Lost Again

Normal P.O.V

Gray and Gems ran as fast as they could towards their house. They did encounter a couple of those shadow monsters but Gray took care of them and protected Gems.

Everytime Gems saw Gray fighting against those shadow monsters, he couldn't help but blame himself even more for not having magic and not listening to Gray earlier, or he would've been able to fight side by side with Gray, just like the old times.

“Gemsie... You gotta be quick... Alright?” Gray said taking short breathes as they entered the house and locked the door behind.

“Gray? Are you okay? Sit down!” Gems said as he helped Gray sit on the couch and checked up on him. ‘If I had magic... I could've healed him.’ Gems thought feeling even more guilty. “Gray, relax, take some rest while I find that crystal.” Gems said and Gray nodded.

“We can't waste much time.”

“Gray, once I get my magic back, I'll heal you-”

“Don't waste your energy on me, use all your saved up energy to eliminate Seth. We need to get rid of him immediately.” Gray said as he kept his hand on Gems's. “I'll be fine.” he added, squeezing Gems's hand a bit.

“Gray, is something up with you?” Gems asked out of the blue.

Gray just remained silent.

Gems sat down on his knees, infront of the couch and held Gray's hand. Gems was really worried about Gray. “Gray... I know that the smile on your face you just had was fake... I know you more than you know yourself... And I know something's up... Please tell me.” Gems said as he held Gray's hand.

“It's nothing Gemsie-”

“Gray! Stop lying on my face! I can feel you... I can feel what you feel! And I what I am feeling right now is just messy! Like a child's scribbles on a plain paper. What's up?” Gems asked, he was being pushy but he needed Gray to talk.

“Gemsie...”

“Gray, open up... Please...”

“Eversince that accident, I have been very afraid of losing you... And now that you don't have any magic, it scares me even more that if something happens... you wouldn't be able to protect yourself in my absence... And it turns out that I was correct and I hate that I was correct!” Gray spoke, his voice was shaky and he was holding back tears while avoiding Gems's gaze.

“I gave my blood, sweat and tears in order to find something that could bring your magic back... Because I missed going on missions with you... I missed having you around after you stopped accompanying me to the missions.” Gray explained.

Gems silently sat there, holding Gray's hand while listening to him.

“You always being with your parents and never spending time with me was kind of hurting me, I'm not blaming you for that, it's just the situation that I am blaming... So I was hell bound on getting your magic so that I could at least spend some time with you if we went on missions together... Because I missed you...and all this time that I spend being alone, without you, I absolutely hated every single second of that...” Gray spoke as he looked at Gems with watery eyes.

Gems took a deep breathe while listening to Gray.

“I am so used to having you with myself all the time that my heart and my mind were not able to accept the separation that we went through... I was so fucking depressed when you almost died protecting me and were in a coma... I begged to gods up there, that if they couldn't send you back to me, then they could take me as well!” Gray said as he dropped to his knees as well, while looking at Gems and this time letting his tears flow.
