Gems had reunited with his parents after many, many years. Every tear that was shed by Gems in his childhood was wiped away by just one hug given to him by his parents. That hug was heart to heart.

Gray wiped away a tear that had escaped his eye.

Everything was all smiles and everyone was happy, and because of Gems, his parents were proud of him. Gems told his parents everything that happened in his life and how he was also trapped in Tenroujima from seven years, as to why he looked younger.

Gems's parents also told how Seth had held them hostage for all these years and how he had infused Pearl's magic into Gems before MagicMania, which was the reason in the increase in Gems's power. It wasn't much, since Pearl was a new born baby, so most of the strength that Gems showed was his own will power and his own resilience.

Seeing those proud smiles on their faces, made Gems extremely happy. It was like a dream come true for him.

As the party continued, Gems made his parents meet everyone. Everyone from Fairy Tail and from the other guild. Gray went back to the food table as he saw Gems and his parents talking to Lucy.

“What are you thinking about?” Erza asked as she picked up a plate for herself. “You seem quite lost.” she added.

“It's nothing, hopefully.” Gray answered.

“Overhearing Lucy's conversation with his parents and it sounds as if she wants to get adopted by them. I had a chat with them and they were super nice.” Erza laughed, but Gray stayed silent. She looked at Gray and he really looked tensed.

“Gray?”

“Yeah.”

“What happened? Why are you so lost?” she asked out of concern. “You should be the happiest person right now, but it looks like you've seen a ghost.” Erza added and Gray sighed in response.

“I'm not going to hide from you Erza... But I'm afraid.” Gray said as he didn't even look at Erza. Erza frowned.

“Afraid? Afraid of what Gray? Are you talking about Seth, because he escaped?” Erza asked while looking confused but Gray just shook his head in a no, causing the confusion to rise. “Then what is it?” she asked again.

“Erza...its just that... I am afraid... Afraid that Gems is gonna leave me... Leave all of us...” Gray mumbled while starring at his plate.

“What makes you think that? Gems just got back, why would he even leave us?” Erza asked.

“Didn't you listen to what he said while hugging his parents? He wants to go back home...his home... And live with his parents. Also him not having magic anymore, gives him another reason to not stay...” Gray said, and the way he spoke, Erza could tell that he wasn't joking around but was very serious.

“I think you're thinking too much into it. He's your mate, isn't he? So he'll never leave you, that's for sure.” Erza smiled and tried to comfort him.

“But Erza-” Gray was saying something but got interrupted.

“Gray!” Gray flinched and immediately turned around when he heard Gems's voice. There he saw Gems standing there with his parents. “Gray! My parents met everyone, except you.” Gems added with a smile. Gray gave an awkward smile.

“Saved the best for the last, eh?” Gems's dad asked and Gems just blushed.

“I am just very thankful that you took care of Gems.” Gems's mom spoke and Gray nodded.
