174: Gift Of Life

Normal P.O.V

“Take care of Gems for me.” Gray mumbled while looking at Gems before he sprinted out of the Kardia Cathedral. Porlyusica frowned as she understood what Gray was up to.

“Gray! You can't do this to Gems! Come back!” Porlyusica yelled at the top of her lungs. Laki and Charles were just too stunned. “Gray! You dimwit! Come back here!” Porlyusica yelled again but Gray was now out of her sight.

“What's happening!?” Laki said getting confused.

“Now what?” Charles asked Porlyusica with a frown, because she also understood. 

“We need to stop Gray like right now, before he does something stupid.” Porlyusica said while looking at Gems while swallowing a lump in her throat. Charles nodded in response while Laki scratched her head.

“I'm so confused.” Laki mumbled.

“Are you dumb or are you slow??” Porlyusica yelled at Laki.

“How can you still not realise that Gray and Gems are dating each other, its so evident at this point.” Charles said with a sigh and Laki's eyes widened.

“What—” Laki gasped. Her face reddened as she recalled every minute she spent with Gems and missed the details. Smoke started coming out her head while she was fighting back a nosebleed.

“We don't have any time to waste right now, Gray is out there planning to do something crazy... Probably putting his life on the line for Gems... We need to stop him.” Porlyusica said and they nodded.

Laki picked up an unconscious Gems on her back and they all ran towards to where Gray ran off.

They all sprinted as fast as they could and they were able to meet up Natsu, Lucy and Happy right outside their own house.

“Guys!” Happy said happily as they re-united.

“We can't find Gray! He's gone!” Charles got straight to the point.

“He put his sword pendant around Gems's neck, and told us to take care of him before running off.” Laki elaborated. Lucy and Natsu's eyes widened as they noticed Gray's pendant around Gems's neck, who was unconscious.

“We need to locate him and stop him before he does something stupid.” Porlyusica said.

“I know exactly where he went.” Natsu said as he clenched his fists. “And I'm going to bring him back... I promise.” the fire dragon slayer added as he looked at Gems and sprinted towards the guild hall.

Lucy and Happy followed him as well, while Porlyusica and Laki got into their house and laid Gems down on living room carpet. Laki left them when they saw Gildarts joining the battle with the last remaining Spriggan 12. She wanted to help Gildarts.

- Meanwhile with Gray -

Gray was clutching on his sides as he walked into the guildhall, coming face to face with Zeref. Gray gritted his teeth in anger when he saw the man in front of him with a sick smile on his face. He was sitting in their guild hall, wrapped in complete silence.

“I never imagined you would be the first person to reach me.” Zeref let out a low laugh. “I had expected it to be Jellal, or maybe Laxus.” Zeref admitted while insulting Gray.

“But this is honestly a shame.” Zeref insulted more.

“I think it's about time you leave.” Gray replied back, getting in the stance to battle it out. But Zeref just let out a small chuckle.
