164: Rescue Mission

Normal P.O.V

The next day itself, they all left for the rescue mission.

“What are you thinking about?” Gems asked Gray, who was just standing and looking at the horizon while their ship was sailing towards the Caracol Island.

“We just escaped Tartaros and that whole Seth saga just over a year ago and we are already back into a similar situation.” Gray mumbled. Surprisingly he didn't strip at all.

Gems put his hand on Gray's shoulder.

“Are you scared of something?” Gems asked, but Gray didn't reply he just sighed.

“I just don't want my future, our future, to be sabotaged. I was just thinking about it, about the obstacles we might have to face before we actually get married.” Gray said and Gems nodded.

“As long as we stay together, nothing can shake us apart. I'm scared too, but I know you're with me and is a huge relief for me in a situation like this.” Gems said as he looked down at the ocean. “I feel safe with you.” he added.

“I need you to teach me some healing spells, just in case.” Gray said.

“Fine, but lets get over to the deck. Everyone's there.” Gems said and Gray nodded. Gems looked here and there and noticed that no one was there and used that opportunity to plant a quick peck on Gray's cheek to cheer him up. “We got this.” Gems mumbled.

Gray couldn't help but smile. They walked out and re-grouped with the others.

Natsu and Wendy, both, were out with motion sickness while everyone else was looking around the ocean and talking about the Lumen Histoire.

“Can't we directly go to Alakitasia rather than going to Caracol Island, such a weird name for an island?” Lucy asked.

“Something not named after a plant or flower...” Gems mumbled.

“That's how you know that you're outside of the Fiore Territory.” Gray said.

“We're about to rendezvous with an intelligence agent in Caracol, and they'll help us sneak into the Empire.” Mest explained. They all just sat in the ship while waiting for destination.

Gems used his wind magic to help the ship sail faster.

“There it is! The Caracol island!” Erza shouted informing everybody and they all gathered to look at the island. It was a small tourist island.

“Alright, lets get ready to disembark.” Mest said.

“Wait! What are those ships?” Erza asked as they all spotted some military ships at the shore of that island.

“They are the Alvarez Military ships! But what are they doing here?! Because Caracol isn't in Alvarez territory.” Laki said and everyone's eyes widened.

Gems grabbed a binoculars and looked further into it. He told everyone what he saw, a long line of tourists going through a security check up by those Military guards before entering the island.

“Sounds like they're searching for our spy friend.” Natsu said almost throwing up due to his motion sickness. “But from their conversations, it seems like they haven't our spy, yet.” he added.

“Now how will we sneak in?” Gems asked Gray but the older boy was as clueless as him.

“I have a plan.” Lucy said.

Lucy laid out a great plan for them to sneak in, according to the plan they first had to put on fake guild marks of the Cait Shelter guild. Then leave it to the girls to use their womenly charms on the guards.
