Gray's P.O.V

Exactly one month ago, we tried reviving Gems's magic power which didn't turn out to be in our favor. Seth came back but Gems was able to eliminate him without getting a single scratch on himself.

But that day he saw his parents sacrificing their lives in order to save Gems's.

I cannot even imagine what Gems might have felt, because for me, I felt like I hit the rock bottom when I saw their blood being splashed on Gems. I was shocked and frozen in my place. Which makes me think that Gems must be feeling even worse.

I could feel what Gems was feeling, I could feel my heart burning, my stomach churning and my head constantly spinning. Poor Gems, he just got his parents back and he already lost them. No wonder, he wanted to spend more time with them he must have had the feeling that something might happen.

Losing your parents, the people who brought you to this world is a really unexplainable tragedy but what's even worse is forced to watch them getting killed in front of your very eyes.

Hearing Gems's cries while the entire surrounding was dead silent was heartbreaking. It sent chills down my spine. I was too stunned myself to even comfort him. I felt as if I lost a piece of my heart, because I know there's nobody now who's gonna call me as their ‘son-in-law’ ever again. And at the end its just us for both of us.

Gems was completely destroyed. The glow he had on his face vanished.

Ever since that fight, till now, Gems hasn't spoken a single word. Not a single word, neither to me nor to anybody else. He didn't even eat until I forced him to. Things have been pretty bad ever since.

Gems was there during the last rites of his parents and did every ritual told by the priest, but he refused to speak up at the funeral. Everytime I saw Gems, he had tear stains on his cheeks with wet eyes. He would cry to sleep and wake up with fresh tears in his eyes.

I had to force him to even shower. He was like a dead body, but alive. It was hard to see Gems so broken. He had not spoken to me at all. I don't like how dangerously silent he would stay.

Gems would stand by the window and would keep starring at the moon until I pull him to the bed for him to get some rest. He was getting the physical rest, but his mind was not in the right place and I couldn't even do anything to help him or fix him.

I tried so many times to talk to him, but no luck. There was a time where I tried to seduce him to get a reaction from him but I got nothing. Gems would just look at me while I strip in front of him, but then would turn his head away.

There was an instance when I put his hand on my abs, in the hopes that he'll react or say something but he just retracted his hand back and curled up in a ball.

Things got worse, when Gems went missing. We found him at his parent's house. He was in his room with the door locked. All of us were terrified when we couldn't enter the room and Happy went inside via the window, only to scream and shout from the inside.

My heart was racing so fast in worry that Natsu and I had to break the door down. Our hearts came in our mouth when we saw Happy trying to help Gems. Lucy and Wendy screamed in fear when we saw that Gems had hung himself with the fan.

Gems was unconscious and Happy had held him in the air. My heart was racing faster than any bullet train in the world. We immediately ran towards him and I grabbed him from under while Erza cut the rope in half with her sword.

Gems was still breathing. That was when Gems scared the crap out of us when he tried to take his own life. If we had arrived even a second late, I would've lost Gems forever with no coming back this time. I held Gems so tightly never letting him go.
