173: Pain Of Losing A Loved One

Normal P.O.V

Gray wiped his tears but fresh ones made their way out as he looked at Gems. With every passing second, Gray could feel Gems's magic fading and he could do nothing to help him.

Gray was literally feeling as if he was having a deja vu with whatever had happened in the past. Gray didn't have the courage to go through all of it again, nor did he have courage to face the future without Gems by his side.

Gray immediately froze Gems’s wound and stopped his bleeding. He gritted his teeth in anger because that's all he could do to help Gems. “I'm so sorry...” Gray mumbled as he gently placed Gems on the ground. “I have to use it... I don't want a future without you... You are the very essence of my purpose to live... I'm sorry Gems...” Gray mumbled with watery eyes as he got up and wiped his tears away.

Everytime Gray wiped his tears away, new tears would roll down his cheeks.

Anger took over sadness as Gray looked here and there. ‘He will pay, he murdered Gems.’ Gray thought as he walked towards to where Invel walked away. Gray had rage in his eyes and he felt the power in him increasing.

He spotted Invel and took heavy steps towards him, with every step forward, the rage in Gray was increasing along with the surge in his magic power. Seeing Gems like that triggered his magic.

Invel turned around as he heard Gray's footsteps. He had a smirk on his face, which pissed Gray even more.

“To think that you actually survived...still, I imagine you're too injured to fight—” Invel was speaking but got interrupted when Gray punched him right across his jaw with so much force, sending him crashing into the ground.

It came with another series of punches, kicks and knee strikes right onto Invel's face sending him crashing into debris.

Invel was shocked to see such power from Gray, who he thought was injured. But little did he know, all of Gray's injuries were healed by Gems.

“You're actually gonna make me use it— Absolute Ice Shroud!” Invel spoke as he got up and immediately covered himself up in an armor made of ice. “This netherworld ice freezes all that it touches.”

Gray didn't hold back and just attacked Invel with another punch.

“No matter how resistant you are to ice, you will shatter into pieces!” Invel spoke as he froze Gray's right arm. But Gray's energy levels were rising. All he could think of Gems and that was causing an incredible rise in his magic power.

Gray punched him again, breaking his armor and freeing his own arm from the ice.

“You took away Gems's future away from him... You took it! Now you're going to pay! Because he was my future too! You're the one who's gonna shatter! Ice Devil: Zero Destruction Fist!” Gray said angrily as both his hands were covered in ice.

Gray didn't hold back and punched Invel, and kept on punching him with ice covered fists.

Invel laid on the ground defeated and bleeding from various places. Gray's heart was bleeding while his eyes were crying and mourning for Gems.

“No matter how much I thrash you, it won't bring Gems back to me... It won't bring him back!” Gray said with anger in his voice.

“Or your parents and mentor.” Invel mumbled with a smirk.

“How do you know about that.” Gray was a bit taken aback.

“Its all written in your fate. Unless you defeat E.N.D., death of your loved ones will always be your destiny.” Invel laughed which pissed Gray even more that he kicked Invel on the jaw again making him spit more blood.
