170 : "My Hubby!"

Normal P.O.V

“Is your leg okay?” Shelia asked and Gems nodded. Wendy had tended to Gems's leg and healed the wound, but it was still fresh, which is the reason why Gems was constantly feeling the pain.

“Wendy ... Shelia, the war is not over yet...” Gems mumbled as they heard lightning and saw more blasts in the sky. They assumed it was Laxus. “I gotta lend Gray a hand.” Gems added.

“Yeah! Let's go!” Wendy mumbled but Gems immediately stopped her.

“Wendy, you need to take both Shelia and Charles to the safety camps before. Can you do that?” Gems asked as they all looked here and there.

“Yes.” Wendy replied.

“I am counting on you, its your responsibility to keep your family safe...while I keep my family safe.” Gems said making all of them blush. “I'll see you in a while.” Gems added and they all nodded.

Gems immediately took to the sky and flew towards Gray.

‘Gray... I hope you're okay...’ Gems thought while flying as fast as he could, while looking for Gray. Gems would glide his fingers on the bite mark Gray gave him, he could feel Gray as he was getting closer and closer.

Gems sighed in relief when he finally spotted Gray.

“He needs my help!” Gems gasped when he saw that Gray and Lyon were surrounded by a large number of soldiers from the Alvarez army.

“Whirlwind!” Gems immediately landed down infront of Gray and Lyon, lavender winds rose from the ground and all the soldiers that were surrounding them got blown away.

“Gemsie!” Gray said with a smile on his face as he saw Gems appear out of no where to help them.

But Gray's smile immediately faded away as he saw Gems wincing in pain while grabbing his thigh. Gray immediately ran towards him. Gems's battle gear was torn from various places and it looked like he just came out of a grueling battle himself.

“Gemsie!? Are you okay?? What the hell happened!?” Gray asked as he knelt down to Gems's level, while Lyon kept the soldiers at bay.

“Gray!” Gems sighed in relief as he saw Gray safe. Gems wrapped his arms around Gray and hugged him.

“Gemsie? What happened to you?” Gray asked as he broke the hug and helped Gems get up.

“Shelia, Wendy and I were able to take down another one of the twelve.” Gems said and Gray's eyes widened in surprise.

“What!? Y'all defeated one of the twelve!?” Gray asked and Gems nodded in response. Gray pulled Gems into another hug. “I always knew you could pull that off.” Gray added.

“Wendy healed up most of my wounds, but Shelia lost her all her magic power.” Gems mumbled. Gems told both Gray and Lyon about everything that happened and they were shocked. 

“I'm glad you're not a god slayer.” Gray said and Gems just smacked him on his arm.

“Hey! What was that for!? I cannot go days without you flying us in the sky, okay?” Gray added while rolling his eyes. While Gems just sighed.

“That wizard was so strong... If it wasn't for Ultear, we could've died...” Gems mumbled.

“You better not leave my side now!” Gray scolded him and Gems nodded. Lyon was listening them argue and he was getting irritated.

“Gray! Gems! Focus on the battle, there are still way too many of these soldiers for me to fight alone!” Lyon yelled at them. Gray and Gems nodded.
