152: Gems's Magic

Normal P.O.V

Three days had passed since everyone went on their missions to find something that could bring Gems's magic back.

“The person we met said that there is a way to bring Gems's back, but he needs to be reborn.” Happy said and they all dismissed the idea real quick.

“There's no way we are doing that.” Gray said as he crossed his arms.

“We found some herbs that Porlyusica asked us to find, but there is a very slight chance that it works.” Wendy said and Charles nodded.

“What about you Gray?” Erza asked.

“No luck, the person I thought could help had passed away.” Gray said while looking down. “But that won't stop me.” he added as he stood up.

“Do you have any other leads?” Natsu asked.

“When I talked to Gems's father about this, he was clueless too but he mentioned that Seth had sucked up a lot of their magic power... Maybe if I can find Seth... I'll trade my devil slayers powers for Gems's magic.” Gray added and they all gasped. Gray sounded very, very serious about it. 

“Absolutely not! I am not gonna allow you to do that!” Erza immediately rejected Gray's offer.

“But Erza, that way we can capture that bastard as well. Its killing two birds with one stone!” Gray argued back and everyone else didn't seem to agree with him.

“Or, hear me out, you don't offer your magic to a diabolical blood lusting vampire and we get Gems's magic back ourselves.” Lucy said grabbing everyone's attention. “Laki, show it to them.” she added.

Laki opened a small box she brought and pulled out a crystal.

“What's this?” Gray asked.

“It's a convergence crystal.” Laki answered as she showed it to her teammates.

“You act like I come from a place where that doesn't sound ridiculous.” Natsu said while scratching his head as he was very confused about what Laki just said.

“We searched up the entire magic archive and that led us to this crystal. It lets us wizard to combine our powers and transfer it to someone else. Its a relic, super rare.” Laki answered but they still seemed confused.

“I am not getting what you're trying to say.” Wendy said.

“Here's my theory, our magic is like a battery. Gems got drained out of his magic till his battery was dead...but a dead battery is still a battery.” Laki said and it looked like her teammates were starting to understand what she was trying to say.

“Gems is still a wizard... We just need to... jump-start him!” Lucy added as she looked at all of them.

“Is it dangerous?” Gray asked, concern was clearly plasted on his face.

“To be honest, yes...” Laki replied and Gray frowned. “But not more than your plan.” she added.

“My plan only puts me in danger, so-” Gray was about to argue again but Erza shut him up.

“No! You are not going to do that! Not on my watch!” Erza shouted at Gray.

“Yes Gray, Erza's right. Seth is very dangerous.” Happy said as he tried talking sense to Gray. “I remember how he tried to get under your skin while Gems was dying in your arms...he might have other tricks up his sleeve.” he added.

Gray looked down in frustration and thought about it.

“Gray we gotta give this a try, its our safest bet.” Laki said and Lucy and the girls agreed with her.
