165: Telling Lucy The Secret

Normal P.O.V

“Zeref is here? On this continent?!” Natsu asked, while everyone else gasped.

“The man known as Emperor Spriggan is actually Zeref, in the flesh.” Makarov said while looking down.

Gray and Gems exchanged looks while swallowing lumps, they all were shocked to their cores knowing that their enemy could be Zeref and with a direct attack this time around.

“I'm just so glad you're all right.” Laki said, wiping a tear off.

“I was too naive, they never had any intentions of negotiations from the start...this was all for nothing! I've never felt such regret!” Makarov spoke, while breaking down. The disappointment in his voice was clearly visible.

“Let's go home, Gramps... To Fairy Tail!” Natsu said as he gave Makarov a hand and helped him get up.

“I think its best if we catch up after leaving this unsafe place.” Gems said with an awkward smile on his face.

“I used way too many direct lines, now I can only use it once which will teleport us to the shore, but we gotta swin a bit to reach to where Sorano is.” Mest explained. Mest was completely drained.

“Yes, its best that we leave now-” Lucy was speaking but got interrupted.

“Awww, leaving so soon, Makarov? We just became friends too... Did you get your farewell gift?” A man with an old era outfit popped up and he was emitting the same level of magic as Brandish.

“Ajeel!” Makarov gasped. 

“How did he find us?!” Wendy asked.

“Sand.” Ajeel said, as he picked up some sand from the ground. “Sand tells me everything.” he added, whilst also adding a laughter at the end.

Gems immediately grabbed both Gray and Natsu and shook his head, stopping them both from fighting Ajeel. “Stop!” Makarov yelled as well. “Don't fight him! He's way too powerful, just run!” he added.

“You heard the master, retreat!” Erza added and they were all starting to panic.

“Everyone get in the magic mobile now!” Mest yelled as he mentioned everyone to move fast.

Gray grabbed Gems by his wrist and immediately sprinted towards the magic mobile that was waiting for them. Gems was shocked by the sudden action, because Gray was just now willing to fight.

Erza attacked Ajeel with a few swords, creating a distraction for them to run away.

She had the SE plug on while everyone sat in the back, with Natsu and Wendy getting the motion sickness again. Her magic being so vast really gave them the boost to drive faster.

“Are we safe now?” Gems asked.

“I guess so?” Lucy answered.

“He's coming.” Makarov mumbled.

“Guys! What is that!?” Happy shouted while gasping as he looked outside the window. They all looked outside from the moving vehicle and their eyes widened as they saw a huge sand monster following them.

“Gray its a sand monster!” Gems gasped.

“Not good... Its gaining on us!” Gray replied as they all were holding onto each other to the magic vehicle being shaky. “Gemsie... Let's attack back!” Gray said and Gems nodded.

Gems loved when Gray viewed him as an equal and didn't just asked him to sit back.

“No! He's too powerful for us!” Makarov said trying to stop them while Gray helped Gems get on top of the car roof. But Gray and Gems didn't listen.
