Colleen POV
"Can we call Dr. Taylor?" Tara asks Josh. "Yes, anything" he says. "Bloodwork shows really high creatinine levels. She may need dialysis again" Tara says to Josh. "Not going to the hospital" I say. "Baby you may have no choice" Josh says grabbing my hand. I look away and pull my hand out of his. Rachel is sitting on the other side of me as I lay against her leg. She rubs my back as I cry. "Colleen just wait to see what Dr Taylor says" Rachel says. "You need to eat, Colleen" Josh says. I don't answer. I hear everyone moving and as I open my eyes I see everyone is leaving the room. I feel Josh sit down behind me. "Babe, you will be fine. Just listen to what Dr.Taylor says and we do it ok?" he says. I say nothing. "Baby please don't be angry with me. I can't take it" he says. "I am not going. I feel fine" I say. "You don't look fine nor is your bloodwork"he says. "Remember how much better you felt after Noah with the dialysis" he says. "Your kidneys are under too much stress" he says crying. I roll over and grab him. "Joshua" I say looking at his face. "This is worse than with Noah" I say crying. "What? Why didn't you tell me? You need to tell the doctor that" he says kissing my hand. I lay there and just stare at him. I feel exhausted. "Need a kiss" I say crying. He leans down to me and grabs the sides of my face and kisses me hard. I see him crying as he releases me. My man loves me so much. Too much I think sometimes.
Eventually Dr Taylor sends me to the hospital to go back on dialysis. They hook me up as Josh crawls into my bed with me. "Feel Better?" Josh asks me after a few hours. "No" I say. He goes pale. "Love you baby" he says. I close my eyes. I get startled by talking above me. "She needs it now?" I hear Josh asking the doctor at the foot of my bed. I see my mom crying and my dad standing beside her rubbing her back. Rachel is hugging my dad. "Need what?" I whisper. Josh looks up at me. "There she is" Josh says smiling as he walks towards me. I look at my IV's and there are two new ones. "I got new meds?" I ask looking at the IV's. Josh nods. "What do I need?" I ask Josh. "A transplant babe. Like asap. You only have one kidney functioning at 60% as the other one is pretty much not working" he says. I am emotionless. "Need to find a donor" he says. "We are all doing the tests to see if we match" my dad says walking up to me. "Are you sure?" I ask getting upset. "More sure than anything ever before" he says. I hear Josh sniffle and I look at him as he releases me and walks out of the room. "Rachel go get him please" I ask. "Colleen give him a second ok?" she says. "He has had it rough for the last 48 hours" Rachel adds.
