Josh POV
"Colleen you are a mess" Katie says. "I am going to get Tara to give you a shot to numb you before I work on you"she says. I sit down holding onto Colleen as Tara gives her a shot where she tore. Colleen is semi screaming panicking. "It will numb you in a second" Katie says rubbing Colleens knee. I hug Colleen tight as she sobs. "I am sorry baby" I say kissing her a million times. Finally Colleen breathes as Katie asks if she can feel anything to which Colleen can't. I see Tara and Katie talking away as Katie stitches her slowly while shaking her head. Tara comes up and does a blood sugar check. "25" Tara says. "Way to high" she says as she gets a shot ready. "Josh let me hold Noah please" Colleen asks. "Colleen not yet. Let Josh hold him to you. You are still too shaky" Tara says. I nod and sit right beside Colleen with Noah. Colleen kisses his nose and looks at me with a smile. "Love him" she says to me. "I love you babe" I say kissing her. Colleens hands are shaking like crazy. "Can't get these sugars down" Tara says. "Hospital?" I ask. She nods. "No please Tara" Colleen begs. "Colleen I don't want you to go there either but something is not working properly. I am giving you 10 more minutes then we go" she says concerned. Colleen cries as Katie finishes her stitches. "Well that was a big boy and he physically almost tore you limb to limb" she says smiling. I look at Colleen and she is staring at Noah. "I want a shower" Colleen says. I look at Tara and Katie. "A real quick one" Katie says. I pass Noah to Katie as she weighs him and measures him as I scoop up Colleen. "He is 10.4 pounds Colleen" Katie says shaking her head. Colleen looks half out of it but smiles. I bring her into the shower with a chair I threw in there to sit while I quickly bathed her. I grab her out and throw her into some PJ's. "She is bleeding a lot Katie" Tara says from standing beside me with her. Katie comes and checks her and thinks she will be fine so I continue getting her dressed. I bring her back to bed as Katie has stripped the birthing sheets and replaced it with our stuff now. "Ok sweetheart?" I ask Colleen as Tara takes her sugar again. She nods nuzzling into me quiet as a mouse. "Getting higher. Lets go" Tara says. I hear Katie call an ambulance and we wait. My nerves are on 11 out of 10. Colleen isn't talking to me at all. I grab Noah quickly and kiss him and try to get Colleen to respond to him. Nothing. Just a blank stare.
