Colleen POV

I hear everyone talking around me. Voices I don't recognize. I feel people touching my arm and sticky things being placed on my chest. "Colleen" I hear a female voice say. I open my eyes and look at the woman hanging over my bed. She is smiling. "Feeling ok?" She asks. "So so" I reply. "Pain or sick?" She asks concerned. "Both" I reply closing my eyes again. "Colleen time to wake up ok?" She says rubbing my arm.   I keep my eyes closed. "Josh wants to come see you but you need to stay awake for me" she says as I instantly open them. "That got your eyes open" she smiles. She walks away and I hear footsteps I recognize. It's Joshua. I look down towards the foot of my bed and I see him. He is smiling at me as he grabs my feet through the blanket. "Hey baby. You did so good. Missed you" he says staring into my eyes. "Love you" I say grabbing for him. He smiles and grabs my hand. "Love you doll. Feeling ok?" He asks looking at me. "So so. Nurse gave me more medicine" I say. "So tired" I add. "Colleen they want you awake for the next few hours ok? So you need to stay with me" he says. I nod. "Is the new kidney ok?" I ask. "Surgery went well.  Now we need to make sure it gets accepted into your body and doesn't reject it" he says. "Won't know for a few days" he adds. I close my eyes and start to cry. "Why are you crying sweetheart?" He asks me. "I want this to be over" I say looking at him. "It will be soon. We are going to Hawaii after all this ok?" He says. "Yes" I say smiling. "All your fans are loosing it on Twitter. I just posted you are out of surgery and within minutes over 200k people favourited it" he says. I nod. "Josh where did my kidney come from? Did they tell you? " I ask. He nods. "A 19 year old female from San Jose. She died from lung disease" he says sadly. I start crying. "This person gave me my life back" I say. "She did sweetheart" he says. "I will be forever grateful" he says. I squeeze his hand and just stare at him until they roll me out of recovery and into my own room where I see all of my family and friends. I see the clock on the wall and notice its 5:35pm. The nurses finally hook me all up as Josh has never let go of my hand. They leave a few minutes later after raising my bed so I am sitting up. "Its so late" I say as my Mom and Rachel approach me. "Your surgery was nearly 13 hours" Rachel says. "Wow" I say squeezing my moms hand. I hear the door open and a nurse walks in with food. "Gonna try you with some soup ok?" She says as she places it down. "You have to eat something and start trying to get the new kidney to work" she says. Josh sits on my bed and grabs the bowl and starts feeding me. I grab his waist as he does with one of my hands. I love my sweet sweet man.
