Josh POV
I feel terrible as John and Rachel carry me down the hallway. I stop half way down the hall and vomit again. We keep going and they lay me down on the leather couch. I am shivering so Rachel runs out of the room to grab a comforter from our tour bus. "Where is Colleen?" I ask John. "She is just cleaning up the hallway" he says as he places a pail beside me. "I am sorry" I say closing my eyes. "Its okay baby" I hear Colleen say as I open my eyes again and see her rushing into the room. She grabs my hand and sits beside me and runs her fingers through my hair with her other hand. "Joshua, you should have told me" she says. "You were live streaming last night and then had a call so" I say before she interrupts me. "Thats even more reason to tell me. I wouldn't have done those if I knew. I want to take care of you" she says. I smile as she leans in and hugs me. "Colleen don't come too close. I don't want you getting sick babe. Your surgery is next week" I say holding my breath. "I don't care. This is killing me seeing you this sick Joshua" she says rubbing my cheek. "Do you feel any better?" she asks. "No" I say leaning over towards the pail and vomit again as Colleen rubs my back. I hear Gwen come rushing in. "Oh my god Josh! Whats happening?" she asks Colleen. "I found him in the washroom like this Mom. I think John is going to call the on call doctor" Colleen tells her mom. "Joshua is there anything you want?" Gwen asks me. "Ginger ale and a piece of gum" I say. She smiles and runs out of the room. I lay back down and Rachel comes running in with two comforters and a pillow. Colleen lifts me to a sitting position as Rachel puts a pillow down and then lays me back down. Then they lay the comforters on me as I continue to shiver. Rachel is hovering over me as Colleen is kissing my hand. "I haven't seen him like this ever" Rachel says. "Hopefully never again" I say smiling as both girls giggle. "Okay Colleen, Josh, the doctor will be here in 10 minutes" John says as he runs into the room. "Thanks" I say. Rachel walks up to John and asks him for help to set up as Colleen sits with me. Usually I help Rachel but today for obvious reasons I cannot. I close my eyes and go to sleep.
I feel a kiss on my cheek and I open my eyes. Colleen is smiling above me. "Babe this is the doctor John called" Colleen says. "hey Josh. Not feeling well?" she asks me. "No. Terrible. Cannot stop vomiting" I say. She grabs my wrist and takes my pulse. Then my temperature. She looks in my throat for any redness and feels along my neck for any swollen glands. "Is your stomach in pain?" she asks. "Yes" I say watching Colleen worriedly standing above me while the doctor feels around on my stomach when Rachel walks in. Rachel leans in to her and whispers in her ear. "Just do it" Colleen says to her and Rachel walks away. "Go do your sound check Colleen" I say knowing that is what Rachel came to tell her. "No" she says. The doctor looks at Colleen and then me. "I think you have a nasty bug is all Josh. I am going to give you a shot of Gravol to settle everything down since I think you will vomit up the pill form and going to give you a shot for your fever. I nod and hold out my arm and the doctor gives me two needles as Gwen walks back in with my Ginger ale and gum. We thank the doctor as she leaves and Colleen sits me up to sip small amounts of ginger ale through a straw. I smile at her and sigh. I lay back down as she watches me. "Joshua I love you sweetheart. Go to sleep" she says. I do just that.
