"Ma'am..."

Macy woke up from her musing. She realized that the three people she was in a meeting with were now watching her seriously. It seemed that she had been deep in her thoughts for too long.

Moreover, the expressions of the three people showed concern. It was as if they were afraid that she would fall sick again.

Macy took a deep breath and looked at the three people, one of whom was Ken Reyes.

"Oh, I'm sorry," she said. "How long have we been discussing?"

Gil who was sitting next to her watched her closely. "Are you all right, ma'am?"

She nodded. "Uhm... I'm fine. Forgive me."

"It's okay," Ken mumbled.

Macy tried to focus on the document in front of her. She read the last note she wrote. Well, it looks like she wasn't completely daydreaming during the meeting with Writer Reyes. She glanced at Gil who was still looking at her with concern. She signaled to continue what was being said.

Gil just sighed then continued the meeting.

She sighed as she glanced at the watch on her wrist. There is still time before the meeting with all the editorial team. And accidentally, she realized that Ken was still looking at her so seriously.

She doesn't know what her ex is thinking- oh, you must be professional, Macy. Currently, Ken is not your ex-husband, but a Writer. She berated herself.

After the meeting with Writer Reyes was over, Macy rushed to her office to pick up some documents for the editorial team meeting. She keeps the documents of the meeting with Writer Reyes on top of the manuscript pile, then she picks up some documents when Ken knocks on the door and enters her room.

She gave the Writer a glance. "Can I help you, Writer Reyes?"

The man closed the door slowly and walked over to her desk. "We have something to talk about, Macy."

Macy becomes silent. Oh, it looks like the man meets her as an ex-wife. She sighed and looked at her ex-husband. "Can we talk later? I still have a meeting."

"The trial for Marcus' custody decision will be held this Friday," said Ken.

"I know. Lawyer Kim already told me about it."

"And about your scheduled meeting with Marcus-"

Macy then interrupted. "You still have time to think about it. We'll talk about it, Ken. But not now. My meeting with the editorial team-"

"You're so busy. Especially with the launch of Writer Coangco's novel trilogy which is getting closer. And also, several other novels, including mine," this time it was the man who interrupted Macy's words. "You've even fallen ill before."

She sighed. "What exactly do you want to talk about, Ken?"

The man looked at her seriously. "About those ten days. With all your business lately, I think it's impossible."

Macy's expression turned dark. "What do you mean by that? What are you trying to imply?"

"I just thought that four days in a month... listen, Macy. I know you told me to think about it. But with all your busy and packed schedule, if Marcus stayed with you for ten days at the end of the month when you were much busier-" Ken didn't finish his words as he was stunned as Macy hand slammed on the table hard.

Macy looked at the man with an angry look. Oh, this is the first time for Ken to see the woman this angry.

"You told Katy, didn't you?" Macy said in a low but firm voice. However, Ken could also hear the anger at his ex-wife's words.

Ken took a deep breath. "I know it.... Macy, this is only temporary. Maybe a year. Besides, I will not stop you from seeing Marcus, it's just..."

Macy took the documents she needed and rushed out of her office. She didn't want to hear any explanation from the man. She opened the door to her room and looked at Ken who was still standing in front of her desk.

"Go. And tell Katy to marry you soon. So that you can have children of your own. I don't want her to take care of my child!" Macy said so furiously. Her voice is booming out of rage.

Oh, she didn't care about the stares of some of the editors who saw the incident. Then she immediately went to the meeting room that had been prepared for the editorial team meeting.

Meanwhile, Ken, who was still in Macy's room, just sighed. He then left the room. And ignored the stares of several editors, he walked with his head held high towards the elevator.

David snorted in annoyance.

"How much did you drink this time, oh!" he shouted loudly.

Andrew, who was still rolled up under the blanket, groaned because of his cousin's screams. It only made his headache worse. He covered his head with the pillow tightly.

David sighed and hit Andrew hard before he took the aspirin. Well, maybe he shouldn't have left the man alone if the stupid Writer ended up drinking a lot of alcohol even though he already knew the consequences would be like this.

Soon, he came back with a bottle of aspirin and a glass of water. "Get up and take the aspirin,

Andrew."

Andrew groaned in annoyance then he removed the pillow from his head and got up. David snorted when he saw his cousin's pale face. The man then took two aspirin pills and immediately gulped them down with water.

"What do you want to eat?" David asked while taking the glass from Andrew's hand.

"Anything spicy? I think it can help," the man said hoarsely.

David nodded. "What time did the meeting with Editor Cruz finish last night?"

"Six o'clock," said the man who lay back down. He massaged his forehead slowly. "Then we went to dinner together."

"And you stupidly drank soju? How many?!"

Andrew glanced at his cousin. "I think four bottles. And you know for yourself that my tolerance for alcohol is quite high. We even finished nearly twenty cans of beer, didn't we?"

"But it's beer. This is Soju, Andrew. You're not even used to drinking soju! Don't do it again, get it!" David exclaimed, irritated. The man just nodded slightly. "I think I need to remind Editor Cruz about your drinking. I can't believe Editor Cruz didn't even stop you from drinking."

Andrew sighed. He closed his eyes. His hand was still moving to massage his forehead. "She did. But I didn't listen. I guess I should apologize. Again."

David once again snorted. "Yes! Do it. Apologize to her. I don't know how many times you caused trouble and had to apologize to her." Then he walked out of the room and closed the door slowly.

Andrew finally heaved a sigh of relief. His cousin is the most annoying person when he's upset. Especially if he made a mistake or problem.

Mistake?

He opened his eyes and stared at the platform of his room.

"Should I apologize too?" he muttered softly. "For that kiss?"
