Macy looked at her cell phone lying on the coffee table. Since then, she kept glancing at her cellphone while occasionally continuing to read the book in her hand. And sometimes her attention turns towards the door. Her concentration was so broken because she had been doing it for almost two hours.
And it was already ten o'clock at night.
She took a deep breath. She took off her glasses and massaged the bridge of her nose. Maybe she should rest soon. She still felt her body felt weak. Even though while in the hospital, she did not do much activity. But the doctor said it was normal. Prior to the beating, she was so busy that she neglected her supposed break.
Macy put her glasses back on and put the book she hadn't finished reading on the coffee table and then grabbed her phone. She still couldn't use it for the next two days. The doctor had explained that if she was exposed to blue light from the light of the cellphone and laptop screens, she would feel dizzy. In addition, the effect of the blow on her head also had a big impact. So, for a while she had to reduce the use of cellphones and laptops.
With her cellphone, Macy went to her room to sleep. Until her ears heard a faint voice from outside the door. The door code sound entered but failed. Her brow furrowed. Spontaneously, she walked towards the door and slowly opened it.
Macy's body stiffened when she saw who was trying to enter the door code in Andrew's unit. A stranger to Andrew Coangco who looks very drunk in her arms.
The stranger looked so overwhelmed trying to enter the door code that was clearly wrong while continuing to keep the man's body standing. Heck, it's still too early for Andrew to get drunk like that.
"Who are you?" Macy asked bravely.
The stranger – a woman turned her head and Macy could see her surprised expression. "Eh... I... uhm trying to enter the door code."
"I can see it. But I ask who are you? Obviously, you are not a resident of the apartment..." said Macy who then glanced at Andrew who now seemed to be trying to fondle the woman. "But that man is the owner of the unit."
"Ah... I'm his friend. I'm just taking him home."
Macy sighed and walked closer. "Do not lie. It won't work. Did you meet him at the club?"
Well, the woman was at a loss for words. Because of what Macy said was the truth and the woman was trying to find another reason. And maybe also because Andrew was sucking his neck. The woman tried to remain calm even though Macy could see the look of passion on her face. Then she pulled Andrew from the woman's body. She pushed the man to lean against the wall, but because he was too drunk Andrew fell.
Macy sighed again. "Go. I will contact his family to take care of it," she told the woman.
"B-but..."
"Go away, before I call the security," Macy said in a cold tone.
The woman nodded slightly. She put Andrew's car keys in Macy's hands before finally rushing to the elevator. Macy took a deep breath and looked at Andrew who was now starting to ramble strangely. The man was only half conscious. His face was red from the alcohol.
Macy entered the correct door code, then opened it wide. Then she pulled Andrew to his feet and helped him to walk into the apartment. With her feet, she closed the door. Then limping slightly, Macy carried Andrew down the hall to the living room where she could lay the man down.
However, Andrew again raved strangely. He broke away from Macy. "Wow... you managed to open the door."
Macy's brow furrowed. "What do you mean I made it? You told me the door code, Andrew."
