Macy's body stiffened. Her eyes narrowed and her breath hitched. Her face also felt hot – again with the emotion ignited by the author's words. Oh, that was the lowest words the man said to her.

Andrew is now in front of her. Heck, the man turned into someone she didn't recognize. "Tell me, Chief Editor Cruz, did you get your position right now because-"

Macy didn't let Andrew continue his speech. She hit the man's face again until Andrew's body staggered backwards. The writer held his face. His eyes looked so angry.

"Why? That's the truth, isn't it? The proof is Ken and myself. Then why did you get angry and hit me?!!" Andrew shouted loudly.

"Because you looked down on me!!"

"And you insulted me!" Andrew retorted. "You insulted my feelings. I have said many times that I like you. But time and time again you hide behind your editorship. You always emphasize that you have to be professional, but at the same time you return all my kisses. The moment I opened myself, at the same time you closed all the doors and locked them. If you don't want me, then say no! How can you toy with me like this?"

This time, Macy became silent. She just stared quietly at the man who still looked half wet from the splash of water by her. She could also see Andrew's cheeks and the corners of his lips were starting to turn red from the blow. Heck, if David finds out about it, what is she going to explain?

Oh, she really messed things up.

Seeing Macy who seemed to be running out of reply to his argument, Andrew took a deep breath.

Then he turned back to the editor. His face throbbed a little – so did his head. He doesn't know how much he drank tonight. And... hell, he also didn't know that the woman could throw a fist like that.

He was about to speak when Macy suddenly looked at him closely.

"Then what about you? You did say that you liked me. Is it just liking me because you just want to get inside my pants or are you..."

Suddenly, Andrew grabbed Macy's shoulders and gripped her tightly. His eyes were filled with anger again. "Am I that low in front of you? Sex you say? I told you once that I never did..."

"For fifteen years," Macy repeated his earlier words, when he admitted that he was asexual. "Is it because of Nina? That you never did that long? Who is she?"

Andrew lowered his hands from Macy's shoulders. "That is not important. Nina..."

"She is your past. She seems so precious that you decided not to have sex after her death. Is she your lover?"

Andrew didn't answer. He just looked away and walked away from Macy. He looked at the apartment building across from him. Almost all the windows still have the lights on. Of course, it wasn't too late to go to bed yet.

"She's not just your lover, is she?" Macy asked slowly. "You guys maybe or may even be married when Nina dies. That's why you're like this. You don't have sex but do intimate things with strangers. Asexual is just an excuse, right? That's just a bullshit and shitty excuse. Because the truth is, you still love her, but you can't deny your sexual needs."

Andrew still didn't say anything. He just let the woman speak for himself. Telling all the truths that even he completely ignored.

"I'm not judging you on that, Andrew. Your sexual needs are your personal business. I don't even care if you do it with anyone – a stranger – you meet at a nightclub. But if you think you can do the same to me, then I am sorry to break it to you but, you are very wrong."

The words caught Andrew's attention. The man turned and looked at Macy quietly.

"If you want to find someone for your sexual outlet, go ahead. And I'm sorry for messing it up tonight by telling the woman to leave. Good night," said Macy who then left the unit.

And without full awareness, Andrew chased her. Before she could even reach the foyer, Andrew pushed her against the wall and glared at her. Macy looks surprised by what the man did. She tried to push the man away, but Andrew, even in his half-drunk state, was still so strong.

"Andrew, let go!"

But the man didn't listen to her. He instead pushed Macy's body against the wall and reduced the distance between them. Macy gasped when she could feel his breath and body. She closed her eyes and tried to breathe regularly.

Andrew brought his face closer to Macy. "Open your eyes..."

"What do you want from me, Andrew Coangco?" Macy whispered without opening her eyes. Oh, she won't be easy to just obey the man's words.

Andrew watched Macy carefully. The woman still looked pale and even he could feel her fast breathing. And the woman's body temperature. He frowns. Could Macy have a fever? Or is it an effect because they are too close?

"It's not about sex," said Andrew.

Macy's body still looks tense in his arms. But slowly she opened her eyes and looked at Andrew.

"It's not about sex," he repeated to convince the woman. "Nina was my fiancée. Yes, she died a month before our wedding. I was devastated, so I promised myself that I would never fall in love again. And I made it for the past fifteen years. Until I met you."

Andrew slowly took a step back – away from the woman, giving her some space. "I'm not going to lie to you. Of course, I met some people at a nightclub and had some blows. But never sex. Like you said, I can't deny my sexual needs. But when it comes to you, it's very different. I like you. So much-"

"But you can't love me," Macy said courageously, cutting the man's words.

Andrew looked down, avoiding eye contact with the woman in front of him. However, he could not lie to himself. Or to Macy. "Yes. I don't know if I can love you or..." he pauses for a while. "And I don't want to hurt you, Macy."

Macy exhaled. She couldn't hear all of Andrew's explanations at the moment. Everything happened so fast and she was so tired. She raised one hand and touched the man's face.

"But the thing is, you've hurt me... already,"
