"Mommy!!"

Macy smiled broadly when Marcus ran over to her. She suddenly hugged and carried her son when the six-year-old jumped at her. She laughed out loud when the boy kissed her cheeks.

"I thought aunt Hani would pick me up because mommy is busy," said Marcus.

"Well, aunt Hani is much busier than mommy today. After all, for Marcus' sake, mommy doesn't mind postponing work," she answered.

The little man smiled broadly and asked to get off his mommy's arms. He then held Macy's hand as the two walked towards Macy's car which was parked not far away.

"Daddy came earlier," said Marcus.

She glanced at her son briefly. "Is that true? What did daddy say?"

"I'm still in class when he came. Besides, daddy also went home right before recess."

Macy just mumbled softly. She took out her car keys and turned off the alarm. She then took Marcus' bag and put it in the back seat before helping the boy to sit in the passenger's seat. She made sure that her son's seatbelt was on and secured before she closed the door and rushed to another door.

She smiled at the boy as she fastened her seatbelt. "Where do you want to eat lunch?" she asked as she started the car.

"Are you going back to the office?"

She nodded. "We can have lunch first. Is it okay if you wait in mommy's room?"

"Mommy, is uncle Andrew busy?"

Macy frowned before she looked at Marcus intently. Well, this is not an oddity. For a few days the man was the one who spent more time with her son than herself.

"Do you want to play with Uncle Andrew?"

The boy nodded enthusiastically. "If Uncle Andrew is with Uncle David, they might take me to the park near the apartment."

She stroked Marcus' hair then took out her cell phone to call her boyfriend. There was a long dial tone, before she heard the man's voice from the other side of the phone.

"Hey, are you busy?"

"No. David and I are going to have lunch. We will eat seafood noodles. Why?"

Macy glanced at Marcus who was looking at her expectantly. "Oh, you're having lunch. Actually, Marcus asked your whereabouts. If you're not busy, he wants to be with you instead of going to St. Haven with me. Do you mind?"

"Of course not, love. Are you still at his school?"

She mumbled.

"David will give you the address of the restaurant where we will have lunch. You and Marcus can join us. After lunch, you can go back to the office and he can come home with me."

"Won't it bother you though?"

"Of course not, Mace. Don't worry about me."

Macy smiled faintly. "Okay. Thank you, Drew." Then she hung up the phone and put it back in her navy suit pocket.

"How? I can play with Uncle Andrew, right?" asked Marcus.

"Well, looks like we're going to have some seafood noodles for lunch."
