Macy is so busy today.

Since she arrived at St. Haven, there were so many documents and manuscript drafts that she had to complete. The euphoria of yesterday's celebration was gone with everyone in the editorial department so busy. Gil even had to drink three bottles of hangover pills to get to work today.

Well, little pressure for Macy, when she came and met with Gil, the employee bowed before her and apologized for his behavior yesterday. She just chuckled and told him to work.

"Ma'am..."

Macy raised her head and saw Liam, Jino, Henry, and two other editors enter her office with several piles of manuscripts. Only Liam and Henry brought some documents. After Jino and the two editors piled up the drafts, Henry started his report.

"The printing report on the number of quotas for several novels, the report from the distributor about the shipment of Writer Coangco's novels and the report from the bookstore regarding the sales," said Henry as he placed the documents one by one in front of Macy.

Then connected by Liam. "These are the reports from the marketing department. Sales team two, four, and five. The PR department's report on Writer Reyes and Writer Buena's novel promotion schedule according to yesterday's meeting report. Oh, and the notes from the secretariat."

Macy took the note from Liam's hand and skimmed it. "Okay thanks. You can now continue your work."

The two then left Macy's room. Heck, it feels like they never have a quiet day. Macy took a deep breath and put away all the documents in front of her. After all, she could check it out at home later. The most important thing is the pile of drafts that she must finish before the beginning of next month. It's only ten days away.

Macy only checked based on the notes made by the editor. Normally she would have taken the time to read it thoroughly but now she was running out of time. Well, that way, she could finish ten scripts in less than half an hour. After all, most of the manuscripts on her desk were almost

ready to be published.

"Ma'am, ten more minutes!" Gil said from the doorway and then left.

Macy sighed. She put the draft she had finished in another pile and placed it in a blue document – just a sign that those are the pile of drafts she had checked. There were still about fifteen more drafts that needed to be reviewed, but she was confident that she could finish them today. If not, she can take it home.

Macy took some documents and her cell phone then she walked out of her office while half screaming. "Editor, take the reviewed draft of the manuscript. Under the blue documents!"

Well, she had to because the atmosphere was a little boisterous. Several editors who heard her words immediately rushed to take the draft that Macy had completed.

Macy, followed by Gil, walked towards the elevator. "What's the report?"

"Er... meeting with the board of directors regarding the second quarter report. Followed by a short meeting with all the sales team. Then with PR related to Writer Coangco's fan sign event. Oh, you said to remind me of a visit to the main bookstore."

Macy nodded in understanding. As the elevator doors opened, she walked in and gave Gil a serious look. "Forward all emails, okay?"

"Yes, ma'am!"

Some of the meetings went quite smoothly even though they deviated slightly from the estimated time so Macy had to arrange several other meetings. Especially for meetings with all the sales team from the marketing department. There was so much debate and it felt unbalanced. How can a sales team of approximately eight teams fight the editorial department which is only represented by three people? Even if the sales team only sent the manager and not the whole team. Macy even had to skip her lunch because she had to catch up with her PR meeting.

However, she was quite lucky. Meeting with the PR department is not difficult but they have to be careful in preparing for Writer Coangco's fan sign event. The PR team has designed a small system so that they can select readers who will receive the fan sign invitation safely. Safe in the sense that no obsessive fans will be able to enter the event. Macy left all the planning to the PR team – because she was too busy with her other work.

By three o'clock, Macy had returned to her office to get ready to go to the main bookstore. She always did this every time St. Haven did the release. It wasn't a tradition, but she only needed to see the actual situation in the bookstore instead of reading it from reports.

Macy put some documents and about three drafts into her briefcase. After she made sure no personal belongings were left behind, she grabbed her jacket and left.

"Ma'am! Signature for Author Jean's novel proposal?" exclaimed Mina who was half running towards her with a document.

She sighed. She took the pen from Mina's hand and signed the proposal. "How many times have you been reminded to prepare the proposal not at the end of the deadline?"

Mina just smirked at her boss. Macy ignored her subordinates and rushed to the elevator.

"The next trial is in two weeks. Thursday but I haven't got the time yet. Ken's Lawyer will be bringing in their first witness."

Macy sighed. Her back was against the elevator. "Can you find out who the witnesses are going to be with them? I just wanted to anticipate a little. If Ken brings his parents then..."

"Macy, Ken's parents have already said that they will not testify against you or their son. But I will find out who they will bring."

Macy mumbled softly. "Thank you. I will try to make time for the next trial."

The elevator doors open on the parking basement floor. Macy stepped out and walked towards the area where she parked her car.

"There's no need to force yourself to come, Macy. I know you're busy right now. And if the news is true, isn't in the near future St. Haven will launch Ken Reyes' new novel? You must be busy with that."

"I know. But I'll keep trying, Lawyer Kim."

"Okay, it's up to you. I'll call you again, okay?"

Macy just mumbled and hung up the phone. She put her cell phone in her pants pocket and slightly accelerated her pace towards the car.

However, when she almost reached her car, she felt someone behind her. But she didn't hear the footsteps that followed her. At first, Macy tried to ignore her hunch. Only, now a cold sensation rose up her back. She decided to turn around to see who was behind her.

But who would have thought that when she turned around, she felt a hard blow that made her eyes instantly blacken. As well as the cold sensation of the cement basement parking floor which is so quiet.
