David smiled at Marcus who got into the lawyer's car, followed by Ken.

Oh, Ken Reyes. That man is a strong man. Somehow, he was able to walk normally with all the wounds on his legs. But at least, he did it for his son's sake.

Even the man's appearance looked normal. No lines of pain, fatigue or anything else. Marcus didn't notice anything. And that's good. Although the child was a little annoyed that his mother didn't pick him up. But Ken and Hani managed to persuade him to go home.

Hani's car then drove away from the school area. Soon, a car followed the lawyer's car. It's the police. The Detective sends a team to guard Ken and Marcus. In addition, Hani will also stay with them until they hear something from the Detective regarding Macy's whereabouts.

Ah, regarding the Detective, he and his team chase the culprit and try to save Macy. And as expected, Andrew insisted on going with them. But David managed to stop it. Even though it had to be a little louder, the man finally listened to him.

David took a breath. He turned to his cousin who was walking towards the car. Then he followed him and tried to get ahead of him so he could sit in the driver's seat. With his current emotional state, he won't let the man drive.

Andrew snorted at David's attitude and opened the co-driver's door. He climbed in, closed the door, and fastened the seatbelt while David started the car engine.

"Shall we eat first? You haven't eaten anything yet," the agent suggested.

The writer snorted.

David looked at Andrew for a long time before finally nodding. It's hard to persuade the man again with his mood like this. And he didn't want to make Andrew's mood worse by forcing him to eat more. At least the man had eaten a snack with Marcus earlier.

David then drives his car to the studio, according to Andrew's instructions.

The Detective gets out of the car and rushes towards the area that has been lined up with police. Half an hour ago, he received news about the location of Ken's car. Although it was a bit difficult to track them down, they did get a few clues.

The man shared that they left St. Haven using his car. But in the middle of the journey the woman who was with them, dropped him in the middle of the road. No money or cell phone. Therefore, Ken walked towards Marcus' school. And again, there wasn't much information he could get from Ken. The writer was still in a state of shock, and should have been taken to the hospital. But because of his son, it had to be postponed. At least the wound has been treated.

A policeman opens the way when he sees the Detective approaching. The detective walked over to the writer's car which was parked near an industrial area. But the car was empty. The Detective checks the condition of the inside of the car. No visible form of resistance. However, he noticed that there were a few bloodstains on the driver's seat. Seeing the man's condition, he did not suffer any injuries other than his leg. So, it's probably Macy's blood.

The detective turned to several policemen who had already carried out an inspection of the car.

"Has the blood sample been taken?"

"Yes, sir. We have also sent it to the Lab. Maybe the results will be out in two hours."

The Detective nodded. Then he looked around the area. Even though it was an industrial area, there must have been someone who saw the car get here.

"Any witness?"

"There are several people who are being questioned by the Officer."

The Detective nods again. It seems the perpetrators will not hide where they parked the car. There are only two possibilities in the Detective's head. First the perpetrators brought Macy to this place, then changed vehicles and left this car here. Or secondly, they took Macy somewhere else before bringing this car here. Especially before the perpetrators dropped Ken in the middle of the road. There were plenty of places they could go before this car ended up here.

The Detective takes a deep breath. When he took this case, he thought it was a fairly easy case. But now everything seems so complicated and Katy can't cooperate at all. As if the woman didn't mind if she had to serve a long prison sentence.

"Call Warren. If he's still at the traffic office..."

Not yet finished, the Detective spoke there was a police officer who shouted his name loudly. He turns and sees the cop running towards him. One of the detective's eyebrows rose.

"Detective! We have new information about editor Cruz's location!"

His eyes widened. "Explain it to me."

"Our other detective is interrogating Katy again for clues. I don't know how, but the woman ends up giving a small hint. And the clue points to the location of an orphanage in Pampanga province. Currently the officer and his team are heading there."

David and Andrew immediately rushed to the location of the orphanage in Pampanga province as given by the Detective. After traveling for nearly four hours, they arrived at night. In front of the orphanage building, several police cars and an ambulance have also been prepared.

Andrew climbed out of the car immediately. He tries to find the Detective, but can't find him. Finally, he approached one of the policemen who were guarding there.

"Where is the Detective?" he asked.

The policeman was a little surprised by his question. "Ah...? The Detective is with his team and they are heading to the forest. The next clue shows the direction of the forest behind this orphanage. Writer Coangco, you..."

But Andrew did not listen to the policeman's words. He walked straight to the back of the building. David even had to run to catch him. It was too stupid for the man to go into the forest alone.

"Andrew...!!"

But Andrew stopped right at the door of the path into the forest. Only a ten-meter-long path was visible and then everything was dark. He clenched his fist tightly. He wanted so badly to run in and come look for Macy, but he wasn't stupid. It seemed difficult to enter the forest without any preparation.

David, who managed to catch up, walked over to him. He looked at the man's back, which was shaking. He knows that Andrew hates this situation. A situation where he couldn't help at all. But they had no choice. After all, the Detective and his team have been searching the forest. The area will definitely not be wide.

"Andrew, we should wait in the car," said the agent.

And David could probably ask the caretaker of the orphanage if they still have food – or he could go to the nearest restaurant. Andrew didn't eat anything at all while in the studio. Even though he had ordered jjajangmyeon, but in the end he gave it to one of the studio owners under his cousin's studio – instead of having to throw it away.

"Drew... come on. Don't bother the police. Let them do the work," he said once again because Andrew didn't move from his position at all.

Then the writer turned and looked at David. "Treasure quest," he muttered.

David's brow furrowed. "You said something?"

"Treasure search," said Andrew again. "It's like a treasure search game. Katy plays the same game as when she and Macy started to be friends."

He then turned his head back towards the forest. Fuck! He will make sure that Katy will be in prison for a very long time. How can she play with Macy's life like this!
