Marcus smiled broadly and immediately hugged his mother when he saw Macy was waiting outside the classroom. Macy lifted Marcus' body and hugged him tightly. She also kissed her son's head before lowering him back down. One by one, Marcus' classmates left the classroom and were followed by their teacher, who greeted her briefly before walking towards the teacher's room.
"How was your day? Pleasant?" Macy asked as she slightly smoothed the boy's hair.
Marcus nodded enthusiastically. "Today, in music class, we learned a new song. Our music teacher said that we will perform the song at the summer festival."
"Is that true? It must be fun," Macy said. Then she glanced at Director Manahan, who was watching their interaction. "Oh yeah, sweetheart, say hello to Director Debbie Manahan."
Marcus noticed that there was a strange woman standing not far from them. The woman smiled and greeted him. He then bowed in greeting.
"You are a polite boy, Marcus," said the Director.
Marcus mumbled a thank you. He took his mother's hand and slightly hid behind Macy's legs. Macy was a little surprised by her son's attitude. Usually he doesn't act 'embarrassed' in front of strangers.
"Hey sweetheart..." she tried to get the boy out of his 'hiding'.
Director Manahan smiled at Marcus' reaction. It seemed that the boy could figure out who she was. "It's okay, Ms. Cruz. Oh yeah, can I have a word with his teacher for a moment?"
Macy looked at Director Manahan and nodded. Then she looked down at her son. "Honey, can you take mommy and Director Manahan to meet your teacher?"
The boy nodded. Then, by pulling Macy's hand, he showed the teacher's room.

After introducing the Director to the teacher, Macy and Marcus went to the play area. Because it looks like Director Manahan is going to do a short interview with the teacher about her son. And since meeting the director of the social service, Marcus hasn't said anything else.
Macy, who sat on one of the swings – right next to the boy – watched her son carefully. Well, maybe she should have told him beforehand about the visit from the social service.
"Hey, honey, why are you silent?"
Marcus, who was swinging slowly, turned to her. But her son looked doubtful. So, she got up from the swing and knelt before Marcus. She gently caressed the boy's cheek. "What is it, hmm?"
Marcus opened his mouth but no words came out.
"Hey, it's okay. Say what you want to say, sweetheart."
Unexpectedly, Marcus got off from the swing and immediately hugged Macy's neck tightly. At first, she was so surprised, but when she felt her son's body slightly shaking, She began to understand what Marcus wanted to convey.
Macy took a deep breath. Slowly, she stood up holding her son's body tightly, letting Marcus hug her. Gently, she rubbed the boy's back.
"Are you scared, honey? Are you afraid that mommy will find it difficult to meet you? Because of the Director just now?" she asked slowly.
Marcus, who was still hiding his face on his mommy's shoulder, only nodded slightly. Macy smiled faintly.
"That's not going to happen, Marcus. Mommy will never let that happen. So, you don't have to worry. Even if, in the end, mommy doesn't manage to get your custody, you can still meet me easily. Whenever you want, you can contact mommy. So, there's no need to be afraid, okay? I will always be here for you." Macy softly said, trying to convince and calm Marcus.
"Okay..." the boy mumbled.
Macy smiled and kissed the side of her son's head gently. "Oh yeah, we're going to have lunch together."
"With that Director?"
She mumbled. "You don't mind, do you? It's only until lunch, anyway."
Marcus tightened his arms around her neck. "Okay..."
Well, without them knowing, Director Manahan was watching how the mother and son interacted secretly. The reason to talk to Marcus' teacher is just another excuse, because the Director can do it another day with an official Social Service letter.
Director Manahan then noticed the change in the boy's expression when he saw her. For such a small child, according to her, Marcus is one of the smartest and responsive children. The boy could realize the reason for her arrival without being told beforehand. But it seems like Marcus still has a hard time talking about what he is feeling aloud. He seems to be a typical child who often keeps his thoughts to himself. But on the downside, it's not good for his psychic and mental development.
However, Macy seemed to know this too. And the woman handled it well. Although the Director couldn't hear what the woman was saying, but she could see it from her gestures when talking to her son. Although Macy admits that she is quite busy and often prioritizes her work, Director Manahan can see that she is not neglecting her responsibilities as a mother.
And what she saw right now, was enough for her to make a report of what she had observed today. Now, she needed to see how Ken Reyes interacted with Marcus before submitting a letter of recommendation for the court.
