Macy just took Marcus to his room to sleep. And when she returned to the kitchen, Andrew was washing the dishes. The three of them went back to dinner together. But compared to yesterday, tonight Marcus is so quiet and rarely engages in conversation even though Andrew or her ask him. But the boy barely gave a response.

Previously, she told Andrew about an employee from the social service who came to make observations. Macy briefly told him the reason for the observation. So, Andrew can still understand the boy's attitude. And he couldn't blame Marcus for his attitude either. Although Macy seemed to be trying to be patient with her son.

"Should I help?" Macy asked who was standing by Andrew's side.

The man turned around and smiled slightly. "No need. It's almost done." Well, he just needed to rinse a few glasses and put them on the shelf.

Macy mumbled softly and turned around. She leaned against the counter while watching Andrew washes the dishes. She smiled. "You know, when you get married, whoever your partner is will be very lucky."

The man was silent for a moment. He turned off the tap and took a dry cloth to dry his hands. Then he looked at his girlfriend intently. "You think so?"

"Of course. You're good at cooking and doing housework like washing dishes. It may seem trivial. But I don't think many men want to do it after they get married," Macy said.

Andrew then turned his body to Macy. "Then what about you?" He paused for a moment before he added, "Do you want to marry a man like me?"

Andrew's question surprised Macy. The smile on her face disappeared and she just looked at her lover. The man himself was looking back at her seriously. Even from his question, Andrew doesn't sound like he's joking. And she didn't know how to answer that.

Seeing Macy's expression, Andrew again wanted to say something. However, his cell phone rang. He then went to the living room to pick up the phone call.

While Macy was still standing near the sink barely breathing.

She listened to Andrew's voice who was answering the phone call from his sister, Addy. That's because the man said her name. But she couldn't really hear what Andrew was talking about. It's not that she can't speak French, because that's what they are using to converse now. Her foreign language skills are quite capable, but her brain's working system doesn't seem to be functioning properly after Andrew's question just now.

Soon, the man ended the call and returned to the kitchen. "Mace..."

But the editor said nothing. Andrew took a breath seeing his girlfriend who didn't move from the sink at all. "Macy..." he said louder.

Macy leaned back and turned around. "Yes?"

Andrew held out his hand. Her brow furrowed. She doesn't know what the helping hand means.

"Hey, why are you just silent?" Andrew asked. He approached Macy and held his lover's hand. Intertwine their fingers. "You still need to rest. Let's sleep."

And Macy still didn't say anything. She just let Andrew pull her into the bedroom.

Andrew pulled her blanket and sat on the edge of the bed. He smiled faintly. His hand moved gently to get rid of the hair that covered part of Macy's forehead. The room lights have been turned off, but still there from the dim light of the nightstand table lamp.
