Ken glanced at Katy who was standing beside him in the elevator at the moment. They just finished meeting with Gil and Joseph. For almost twenty minutes, Katy had an argument with Joseph regarding Ken's planned promotion schedule.
"What are you doing today? Not like usual. You're so stubborn," Ken said.
Katy let out a short breath. She put her hand in her jeans pocket. "It is nothing. I'm just doing my job as your agent. Besides, I think you agree with me regarding the promotion schedule. Writer Coangco has many privileges from St. Havens."
"That's right. But on the other hand, I think it's normal. For one year, St. Haven has been working and planning for Author Coangco's book to be published in the Philippines. Macy even stayed up late for the dubbing process. After all, the promotion period is also very short. Just two weeks. After that Writer Coangco's contract with St. Haven ends," said Ken.
Katy didn't say anything. The elevator stopped in the parking basement and the two of them got out first for the other employees to get into the elevator.
She then turned to look at Ken. It's probably still in St. Haven but with a fairly quiet basement condition.
"And in that one year, your marriage ended, didn't it?"
Katy's words made Ken gasp. Well, that was a humbling counterattack.
"Sorry, it was so low," the woman muttered. "But you can't shake it off, can you? Your marriage may have been shaky before, that doesn't mean it can't be saved. But because Macy was so busy with Writer Coangco's trilogy, you guys entered the divorce stage."
Ken was silent for a moment. What Katy said was true. His relationship with Macy became more distant when his ex-wife intervened in Andrew Coangco's book work. But much more than that, Ken knew exactly that Katy knew it wasn't for that reason that he and Macy separated.
"Why do you seem to have forgotten the main reason I chose to divorce Macy?" Ken asked quietly.
It made Katy look away.
Ken smiled sarcastically at the woman's reaction. "Why do you think it's just me and Macy involved in this?"
"Ken..."
"I'm going to see my son. Don't follow me. Please..."

Macy opened the door and saw Ken's figure. Well, she already knew about her ex-husband's arrival because he had sent a message earlier. And she also can't just refuse. Then she invited Ken to come in.
A little awkwardly, the man took off his shoes in the foyer and walked in. Behind him, Macy closed the door. Ken sighed and smiled faintly when he saw Marcus sitting on the sofa watching television.
"Hello, son..." Ken greeted as he approached the boy.
Marcus mumbled a greeting to Ken and let his father sit beside him. Macy just watched from afar how the father and son interacted. She didn't want to sound intimidating.
"You want something to drink, Ken?" she asked, just trying to be friendly.
Ken turned around. "If it's not a bother, a glass of water will suffice."
Macy nodded slightly and went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. Faintly, she could hear Ken trying to start a conversation with Marcus. However, the boy only answered his father's question with a cold impression.
