David handed the doctor a signed statement. The doctor then checked the letter and saw that the name that signed the letter was not the biological son of the patient as David often told.

"Not her son?"

David sighed. "Aunt has handed over the custody of her son to the adopted family. So, we think that her son doesn't have the legal power to make a decision like this. My mother is my aunt's closest relative. Will that be a problem, doctor?"

"If the son has been adopted by another family, then legally there is no problem if your mother makes the decision. But biologically, at least the son needs to know his mother's condition, right? Before the procedure was carried out," said the doctor.

"That's right. But it honestly is a little difficult to do," David admitted.

The Doctor looked at him closely. He could see that the man in front of him seemed to have a problem. It might have something to do with his aunt and cousin.

"At least you can tell him. I will arrange a schedule for the procedure. It will give the son a little time to come and see his mother for one last time."

David nodded then he said goodbye and left the room. With another dilemma. If telling the truth for twelve years that David had never told had made Andrew so angry, how was he supposed to convince the man to meet his mother for at least one last time? Andrew did not even further question why David asked for the consent letter again. It's as if his cousin doesn't care about any decisions that will be taken.

"Hah..."

However, David might be able to talk about this matter to Andrew one more time. Only for the last time. He took out his cell phone to call the man – asking where he was. Even though David wasn't sure that his cousin would pick up the call from him.

"Is that true? Writer Andrew Coangco?!"

David's steps stopped. He had just been passed by three nurses who mentioned Andrew's name. Then he turned around and tried to listen to the three female nurses talking. He just hoped it wasn't something bad or serious.

"That's right. Yesterday I saw him in the infirmary."

"But why is he in that infirmary? Does Writer Coangco have any relationship with patient 508?"

David frowned. So, when he thought that yesterday his cousin came to the hospital, it was true.

But not to meet his mother but someone else? He then followed the three nurses.

"What kind of relationship do you mean? Patient 508 is the Chief Editor of St. Haven. Maybe because of Author Coangco's new novel, the two of them became close."

Again, he stopped. His brows furrowed. Patient 508 is Chief Editor Cruz? David didn't hear anything about the editor-in-chief being admitted to the hospital.

Without listening to the three nurses talk, he turned around and headed for the nearest elevator.

Room 508 is two floors below the VIP room floor.

Andrew knocked on the bathroom door and slowly opened it. He saw Macy who was fixing her clothes. The editor only glanced at him. He watched her carefully. Well, Macy doesn't have a lot of casual clothes, so he just took some clothes and matched them.

Plain shirts, t-shirts and jeans.

"Are you mad at me? Because of something?" he asked quietly.
