Andrew noticed Macy's fingers and occasionally touched them. After 'breakfast' and given medicine to reduce swelling of her vocal cords, Macy fell back asleep. Although at first, she tried to stay awake, but Andrew assured her that he would stay by her side until her lover woke up.
He exhaled slowly and kissed Macy's fingertips. He slowly lowered his girlfriend's hand and stood up. He would let Macy rest comfortably. The writer smiled at the woman's sleeping face. Spontaneously, his hand again reached towards Macy's head. However, when Andrew heard the sound of the door opening, he pulled it back immediately. He turned and saw Jared's figure entering the room.
Jared looks surprised to see Andrew's figure. He did not expect that the man would be in the hospital with Macy. To break up the awkwardness, he bowed slightly in greeting. The man then replied.
He walked over. "You came over, Writer Coangco."
Andrew put his hands in his pants pockets. He glanced at Macy who was still asleep and nodded at Jared's words. "Lawyer Kim informed me about yesterday's incident."
"Ah..."
Well, that's right. Jared also told the lawyer to tell Andrew about Macy's condition. He took off his navy-blue suit and put it on the sofa.
"Have you heard from the police station? Regarding Katy."
Jared looked back at the writer. "Hani only gave a small amount of information. The detective in charge of this case is cross-examining Katy and Ken's statements. Maybe they haven't finished yet," he said, glancing at the watch on his wrist.
Andrew nodded and leaned against the edge of the bed.
"The Detective is still investigating Katy's motives," continued Jared. "And it seems like this has been going on for a long time."
Andrew still stares at the director closely.
Jared sighed and glanced at the figure of Macy who was lying behind the writer. "Katy seems to have had feelings for Macy since they were in university. But she never told her about it. Until Macy and Ken got married. And no one knows that Katy started attacking Ken since they were dating."
"Attack? What is Katy doing to Macy now?"
Jared shook his head. "Not physically. Maybe it's more about showing Ken that she knows Macy more than he does. I only know a little from Ken's explanation yesterday when we met at the hospital."
"Then why does he keep the woman as his agent?"
"It was because of Macy," said Jared who looked back at Andrew. "Once Ken tried to change his agent and explained to Macy. But Katy turned back to playing the victim. Macy who doesn't know anything-"
"She trusts Katy more?"
"Not really. At that time, Macy's position was as editor of Ken. She is very professional in her work. And because this is a job, she asked the two to solve the problem themselves without having to involve herself. I don't know how they worked it out. In short, Katy remains as Ken's agent."
Andrew still doesn't understand how Ken could keep that secret for so many years. Even with what happened in the last two years, he didn't say anything to Macy and instead filed for divorce. All under the pretext of protecting the woman.
Slowly he turned to look at Macy intently.
He may be Macy's lover, but he couldn't just meddle in her past affairs. This is the problem of her, Ken, and Katy. Even so, he can still protect the woman.
Because Ken had clearly failed to do so.
Jared looked at Andrew. Well, he has had his suspicions since yesterday. And since Macy-or Hani didn't help at all, maybe he could confront the man. Even if the timing isn't right.
"Writer Coangco..." said Jared. "Since when did you like our chief editor?"

David couldn't say anything. All the statements that came out of Katy's mouth and the confession from Ken really made him lost for words. He did not know that this problem had been buried for so long. The two of them covered everything well, so well in fact. Besides Macy, it seems that Hani also just found out about it now.
Katy has had feelings for Macy since they were in college. Macy's introduction to Ken. Problems that arose from the marriage process until finally Macy and Ken divorced. Katy really is an accomplished manipulator.
And how come Macy couldn't see it at all? If she loves Ken, won't she easily see that there's something her ex-husband has been hiding about her friend?
Either Macy is too naïve or Katy and Ken are too good at acting.
There were so many questions and assumptions in his head that it made him sick. Heck, this doesn't even have anything to do with him. Except that he fell victim to Katy's actions. But it totally makes him have to – feel – interfere in this complicated matter.
David occasionally glanced at Hani to see how the lawyer was reacting. Even though it's been almost three hours, Hani always has a calm expression, but he can see the anger in the lawyer's eyes.
Oh, to be honest he is also a little relieved that Andrew didn't hear all this. He doesn't know what the man would do if he knew everything. And it seems that since it's been a while, the Detective pauses the cross-investigation for twenty minutes. Ken suddenly left the interrogation room followed by Attorney Kim.
David is still watching Katy who is still handcuffed on the table.
The woman's face showed no remorse at all. She even seemed so satisfied because during the cross-investigation, Ken often got emotional over Katy's words. Well, David can understand what Doctor Steven said about his assumption towards Katy who has sociopath tendencies.
David glanced at the watch on his wrist. He should probably call Andrew and ask if he wants to have lunch together. Even though he knows the man's answer would be, at least he can come to the hospital to bring food. Because to be honest, he wasn't sure that he would be able to listen to the investigation again today. Then he went out of observation to contact Andrew.
However, when he was outside, he saw Hani who slapped Ken hard in the face. Even the Detective who was with them also looked surprised at the lawyer's attitude. Well, David could understand Hani's emotional outburst until she slapped Ken.
Hell, this made him even more eager to leave the police station.
Slowly he approached the three of them. He feels awkward about the situation, and it seems that the Detective feels the same way.
"Er... I'm sorry. Looks like I have to go," David said quietly. "I can't listen to the follow-up investigation because..." Oh, he couldn't find a logical reason. Should he say that he feels awkward about this tense situation?
But Hani suddenly spoke. "That's okay. I also have to pick up Marcus at school. Detective, can you record the rest of today's investigation?"
"O-Oh... of course. Even from the beginning, we have recorded all investigations of this case," said the Detective.
The lawyer nodded then walked away ignoring Ken who was still standing there holding his reddened cheeks. David, on the other hand, bowed goodbye and rushed out of the police station too.
Well, he wasn't sure what to tell Andrew at all.
