"Are you sure you want to go to school, honey?" Macy asked worriedly.

Well, it's been a few days since the boy ran away and went to the hospital. But seeing that his hands still need to use the sling for at least two weeks, his request to go to school this Monday, no doubt made Macy worried. Even though it was his left hand that was injured.

Marcus finished the bread with chocolate jam made by Macy. "If I don't go to school, do I have to come with you to the office? That's boring. There's nothing I can do while mommy is working."

"But it's much better," Macy muttered quietly.

Oh, today she's going back to the office. Even though the board of directors has agreed for her to have a leave for one month, Macy will get even crazier if she stays at home. One week was enough for her. After all, she could just read a few drafts of the script or maybe check the final preparations for Writer Coangco's fan-event. Even though she was sure, Gil would try to kick her out of the office.

Macy sighed and glanced at her phone. Ken may not have much work to do, but Marcus still seems so sensitive. In fact, every time Ken comes to see his condition, Marcus will deliberately ignore him.

"Marcus..."

The boy looked at his mother intently. "I will ask my teacher to contact mommy if I start to feel uncomfortable. Okay?"

Well, Macy will always lose to her son.

Macy took Marcus to the front of the class. Even though the boy told her to go straight to St. Haven, that didn't take away her worry. She watched her son walk to his desk. Some friends came up to him and asked about his hand. Marcus just laughed and said that he was misbehaving last weekend.

Heck, this is the first time she has seen a six-year-old kid joke about his injury. She didn't know what part of Marcus' upbringing could make her son act like that.

"Miss Cruz..."

Macy turned and bowed slightly to greet Marcus' adviser. The teacher glanced at the boy who was still chatting with his friend. "His father told me about last weekend's incident."

"Ah... I see."

Well, she doesn't know what Ken said to their son's teacher. Since Marcus entered school, only Ken often communicates with the adviser. Even though she actually has the teacher's cell phone number and sometimes the teacher sends her some short messages about Marcus' progress at school.

The teacher smiled at Macy. "Do not worry. I'll call you if anything happens."

She nodded slightly. "Thank you. I'll leave Marcus to you."

The teacher only nodded once and then walked into the classroom. Looks like the class is about to start. Macy turned her attention back to her son.

Marcus turned to her and waved his hand. She smiled and waved back before she left the school building.

Gil was busy with the last few drafts of the script that would soon be brought to the printing department when Macy walked into her room. Several editors who saw her arrival just looked at her with a bit of surprise. But she just smiled and ignored all the stares as she entered her office.

Gil still hadn't noticed her arrival. But Liam immediately approached Gil's desk.

"Senior..." Liam said quietly. Gil just muttered under his breath, his focus still on the draft in front of him. Liam took a deep breath. "Senior Gil, the Chief Editor is coming..."
