Macy looked at the sparkling lights from dozens of buildings across the Manila Bay. Because Andrew said she couldn't go home until David left his apartment, she ended up here after she had dinner. Just a slice of sandwich that she often saw in dramas. Honestly, Macy felt that the sandwich was normal. Despite the number of advertisements for the sandwich brand in almost all the dramas she knows.

Then she inhaled and exhaled slowly. She felt so tired today and wanted to go home. But Andrew has not contacted her yet. Even though she could just go home, without caring if David was still at Andrew's apartment, then they met.

After all, it was Andrew who had to explain to David. Just like what he's doing right now. The man explained to David why he kissed the woman in his studio. Maybe trying to cover up her identity.

Shit!

Macy should not give up her professionalism. No matter how charming Andrew Coangco is. She had made one mistake by involving her feelings with Ken before. But now she's back to being stupid. Worse, she fell on Andrew.

Though Macy should focus on her son.

Oh, about Marcus' custody appeal hearing, Macy had asked the directors about the launch of Andrew's novel. Macy plans not to attend and delegate the responsibility of the event to Gil. But that of course was just a plan. The directors emphasized that she had to handle it herself because of her status as editor-in-chief.

Well, when Macy told Hani, the lawyer said that she didn't have to worry about the trial. Even if she was not present for the first trial, that would not give the judge a bad judgment on her.

"What are you thinking about?"

Macy almost jumped and cursed because of the sound. She turned and snorted in annoyance.

"How did you know I was here?"

The person smirked and sat next to her. Too close to Macy.

"I've called you several times but you're not picking up. I decided to look for you. Just thinking where are you going after I asked you not to come back to the apartment."

Macy turned to the direction where she parked her car. She left her cell phone in the car. Then she took a deep breath and looked back at the Manila Bay. "And you know I'm here?"

"Not really. I went to a few places before coming here. I'm not a detective, Macy."

"Of course. You're a writer," Macy muttered.

Andrew smiled faintly. He let out a long breath. "I already talked with David."

Macy straightened her legs. "And he didn't realize that woman-"

"I told you, he doesn't know. So, no need to worry. David-"

"That doesn't guarantee anything. Even if he doesn't know it now, sooner or later he will, right?" she said.

Andrew looked at her closely. He could see the look of tension on the woman's face. And when he was about to approach her, he also noticed that Macy seemed to be thinking seriously. Could it be that she is considering a decision regarding what happened between them?

"Macy..."

Andrew's tone caught Macy's attention. The woman suddenly turned and looked at Andrew closely. With too close a distance. Macy held her breath for a moment. The man's signature scent pierced her sense of smell. And she could be trapped in it again. At times when she must think clearly.
