Macy really wanted to enjoy this picnic.
But she inevitably felt uneasy. Every now and then she would look at the crowd that was about fifty meters from their picnic location. Most of the crowd are Andrew's fans. Maybe because the writer is very rare to appear in public.
"Just ignore it, Macy."
She turned to David who was sitting next to her. The man smiled broadly at Andrew and Marcus who were playing throwing balls, while the two of them sat relaxed on the large cloth that the agent brought as a base with several boxes of food served. Then David looked at her closely.
"You have to adapt to this. So maybe you can start by ignoring all of Andrew's fans."
Her brow furrowed at the man's words. "What are you trying to say?"
"When you appear in public with Andrew, whether it's just casual like this or even an official event, you have to be able to adapt to receive all the attention from fans as well as from reporters. And I think you should get used to it. Ken is a famous writer after all, right?" David answered.
Oh, she just understood. Suddenly she looked away with a red face. It made the agent chuckle a little when he saw the woman's face changing color so fast. Well, it seems Macy is not used to it.
"I..." Macy took a deep breath. "Ken and I rarely appear in public. So, I don't know how to act in front of fans or reporters."
One of David's eyebrows rose. "Not with a formal event, even for a holiday?"
"Ah... we went on vacation together several times. Maybe four or five times. But more often abroad. In fact, we hardly ever go out together. It was either Marcus and I would go first or vice versa," she explained.
"Then for the official event?"
Macy shook her head. "I'm just an editor. For official events, Ken is often accompanied by Katy as his agent. Or the other staff."
"Not even once you came as his wife? Didn't he ever ask you to accompany him?"
"Err... I once asked, but he..." she didn't continue her words. She turned her attention back to her son. "After all, if the two of us go alone, there's no one to look after Marcus."
David took a deep breath. That's a nonsensical reason. If they can't leave Marcus, they can take him, right? Or maybe hire a nanny. He doesn't think it's difficult. Well, it's only natural that their relationship is so weak.
Either Ken or Macy who didn't try hard to maintain their relationship or actually there had been problems since the beginning of their relationship. Even without Katy's intervention, the marriage would have ended. There is absolutely no good communication in their relationship.
But the agent doesn't want to be a gossiper or intruder. Macy's past marriage matters are her personal matters.
"Then what if it was Andrew who asked you to appear together? For example, going on a picnic like this, going on vacation together or attending an official event? Currently he may look relaxed, but towards the end of the year, he will be busy with formal invitations such as awarding or charity ball. Are you going to accompany him?"
Macy was silent for a moment. "Even though there is such an event in Manila, it's possible that he will get an invitation from another country, right? If that's the case, I probably can't. Because of my job."
