Ken stared at his lawyer intently. While he's in the studio, his lawyer calls him and says that he has to come to his office because there's something important that they need to talk about.

He didn't know what was so important, but when he entered the Lawyer's room, he could understand a little. Because the atmosphere became so tense.

The two of them didn't speak for nearly seven minutes. Even after the Lawyer's secretary came over with drinks, Ken and the lawyer didn't say anything at all.

He sighed and looked at the glass of flower tea served by the lawyer's secretary. "Lawyer Lagman, if there is anything you need to say then this is the perfect time. I can't run-"

"The decision on the appeal will be made this Thursday," the lawyer said quickly.

Ken was silent and looked at his lawyer.

Lawyer Lagman sighed and continued, "And we don't have as big a chance of winning as in the first verdict."

"You mean my son's custody will move to Macy?"

The Lawyer nodded. "A lot has happened in the last few weeks. And Lawyer Kim put it to good use. There's no guarantee that your ex-wife will win custody of Marcus one hundred percent. But the possibility is very large. Especially with the case of Ms. Perez who also dragged your name at this time."

"But my status is only as a witness," said Ken.

"That's what the Detective said. However, we never know how the congregation will develop. If Ms. Perez's statements incriminate you, the status may change. Even if you get custody of Marcus, during the trial of Ms. Perez's case, the social service may recommend that the child stay with your ex-wife for a while," explained Lawyer Lagman.

"But Macy is also involved in the case. She's even a victim-"

"As you said, Ms. Cruz is the victim and you in that case are the witnesses who are well aware of Ms. Perez's plans. Your position is much heavier, Mr. Reyes. I've been trying to get the judge to see your position as a victim of Ms. Perez. But Lawyer Kim..." Lawyer Lagman let out a short sigh.

The lawyer looked at his male client in front of him quietly. Child custody cases are not serious cases. Moreover, the two parents did not show excessive selfishness. This case is even quite short compared to other child custody cases that he has handled before. However, another case that followed this case became a big problem. His client was involved in the case, including his ex-wife who was even a victim.

Even him as a lawyer can't believe that he can be tricked by Katy's sweet words to win the first trial for Marcus' custody. For that matter, as a lawyer, he can also report the woman for manipulation. But that will only complicate the current case.

"Mr. Reyes, you need to speak to Ms. Cruz as soon as possible."

Andrew stepped out of the elevator when the door opened on the editorial department floor. He walked down the hall carrying an eco-bag with several boxes of food in it. He smiled faintly when Gil was surprised to see him. Well, he didn't tell anyone that he was coming – even Macy or the receptionist at St. Haven.

However, Gil quickly greeted the writer. "Hello, Writer Coangco..."

"Nice to see you again, Gil." he glanced at Macy's room and slightly gestured at Gil, asking if the chief editor was inside.
