The Detective displayed all the photos of Macy's injuries that were taken yesterday before being treated by the medical team on the table. Katy with handcuffs just looked at the photos one by one carefully. In another room, Hani who returned to the police station after leaving Doctor Tony's clinic is observing the woman's every expression.

The Detective then sits back on the chair and looks at Katy. "This is a photo of Editor Cruz's wound."

Slowly the woman raised her head, looked at the Detective then leaned back on the chair. "And then?"

"What do you feel when you see it?"

Katy shrugged. Her expression was still calm. The woman was so good at manipulating –even her own emotions. Heck, somehow the other Detective can get a clue while the head Detective is having a hard time breaking the emotions of the woman in front of him now. The Detective then removes all the photos, putting them back in an envelope.

"Whatever your motives and goals are, Editor Cruz is your friend. How can you do all this to a friend you've known for years? The friend who made you the godmother of her son," said the Detective.

Katy smirked. "I think that the Detectives already know that clearly."

"Because you want Macy? For yourself? But that's still not enough reason. And I know you are a smart woman, Katy. What you do is not to possess it but to destroy it. You threatened her ex-husband, tried to hurt her son and you succeeded – repeatedly. You're trying to hold back..." the Detective becomes silent.

As if he finally completed the puzzle and is now having a eureka moment.

Katy still showed her sly grin.

"You're trying to ruin her life. You want her so that you can destroy her," whispered the Detective. His eyes widened. And he continued, "You almost did it. You've been planning all this for years, to get to know each other and be friends. Gaining her trust, all of that just for you to ruin her life."

"Bingo! You are really smart, Detective."

"But why? You guys didn't know each other before university. What did she do to make you hold such a big grudge against her?"

"That is the next puzzle for you to solve, Detective."

Macy smiled widely when she saw Marcus out of class. But the boy seems surprised to see the bandage on his mother's head.

"What happened to your head, mommy?" asked Marcus worriedly.

"Oh? This? Mommy was slightly injured at the office. But it's okay. It's been treated, and it will heal soon," Macy said, slightly flinching. Heck, she didn't like it when she had to lie to her own son.

But even before this, the boy had been lied to since yesterday. And she hoped that Marcus didn't need to know about it. Then she reached out her hand to hold the boy's hand. The two of them then walked down the hall to the lobby to exit the school building.

"What would you like to eat for lunch?" she asked, slightly diverting the conversation.

"Spicy seafood noodle soup?"

Macy chuckled. "Isn't that too spicy for you?"

"Knife-cut noodle soup?"

"Are you sure?"

Marcus nodded enthusiastically. With the other hand, Macy rubbed her son's head gently. Then she agreed to his request. Even though she actually knew that in the end the boy would not finish his lunch later.
