Andrew closed the door slowly.

After lunch, Marcus said that he was tired and Andrew took him to his room even though Macy protested a little by saying that the boy could sleep in his own room – in her apartment unit. But of course, he is much more stubborn. And when he helped Marcus to remove the sling from his shoulder, Macy tidied the dining table and washed all the dirty dishes. Well, after Andrew is busy cooking, of course washing dishes is Macy's job.

Andrew walked to the kitchen and found Macy washing her hands. All plates, glasses, spoons, forks and knives are clean and arranged on the shelves.

The woman obviously does the job fast, while he is so lazy. Even if it's just one plate, one bowl and a pair of chopsticks and a glass. Well, Macy seems to be very used to doing housework like this – apart from the fact that during the divorce process, she had to live alone and sometimes with Marcus, so she had to do it herself.

"You do it quickly," he commented.

Macy turned around while drying her hands with paper towels which she immediately threw in the trash. She just shrugged her shoulders, as if what she was doing was a trivial matter.

"Marcus is asleep?"

"He is now sleeping so soundly."

Macy approached Andrew who was leaning on the counter. "You don't have to. He can sleep in his own room."

"It's okay, Macy. He is just taking a nap. It won't take long," said Andrew as he walked towards the refrigerator. Well, he couldn't say directly that he wanted Macy to be in his apartment longer. He opened the refrigerator door.

"You want some fruit?"

Macy didn't answer but Andrew took out a large peach. He washed it then took a fruit knife. He then looked at the woman again.

"With skin or without skin? I heard the fruit peel actually also has benefits. It's just that because of the use of pesticides, making it unfit for direct consumption. But I asked the supermarket staff and made sure that their fruit distributors did not use pesticides at all," explained Andrew.

Macy exhaled. "It's up to you, Andrew."

"Okay, with the skin then."

While Andrew was cutting the peach, Macy turned to the living room. She opened the veranda door and felt the wind blow against her face. It's almost summer. It's been more than two months since the man was in Manila. And it's been almost a week since she decided to have a relationship with the writer.

It felt so strange. Even though she is now legally single, the time is still close to her official divorce with Ken.

Macy then walked over to the railing. The wind that blew made her hair a little messy but she liked it. It feels so free.

"You look so peaceful," said Andrew who stood next to her and handed her a bowl filled with pieces of peach.

She took a small piece and put it in her mouth. She just smiled faintly. Andrew smiled too. He also likes his lover like this. Looking so peaceful, serene, and so free.

Andrew put one piece in his mouth, chewed it slowly and swallowed it. "I met a fan at the supermarket."

This made Macy turn around to him quickly. "Don't tell me it was an obsessive fan?"

"No. Just a regular fan. She just wanted my autograph. She attended the St. Haven for fan sign but not confident that she will be chosen. So, when she saw me, she probably thought it was the only chance," said Andrew.
