Andrew opened the passenger's door and removed the seatbelt. Marcus climbed out of the car carefully. He smiled and held out his hand. The boy grabbed it and the two walked into the school building. As promised to Macy, he took the boy safely to his class. He also made sure that Marcus had breakfast before they left.
Oh, he also prepared a lunch box for the little man. Even though it's not needed, because the school will prepare lunch but he only obeys Marcus' request that he wants to make French toast for his lunch.
Along the way to school, the boy told him many things. More about some of the teachers at the school besides their adviser and his classmates. And he listens more by occasionally responding. Marcus' story was still going on until they walked to his class. When they were almost there, he could see the teacher greeting the six-year-old students in front of the class.
And that includes Marcus.
"Good morning, Marcus. Your mom didn't take you today?" asked the teacher.
The boy nodded. "Good morning, teacher. Mommy says that there is an important meeting in their office. So Uncle Andrew took me."
Andrew smiled faintly at the boy. Then looked at the teacher. "Macy said that she might be the one to pick him up this afternoon. But if not, you might get a message again from her. And maybe I'll be the one to pick up Marcus."
The teacher glanced at him and smiled faintly. "Ah? So it seems. Alright, Marcus says goodbye to Uncle Andrew then puts your bag in the locker."
The boy looked up at Andrew. His small hand still gripped the man's big hand tightly. "Thank you for dropping me off, Uncle. I'll finish the lunch you made later."
Andrew brushed Marcus' hair with his other hand. "Thank you again, champ. Now go to your class."
The boy let go of his hand and rushed into the classroom. His eyes did not leave Marcus until the boy sat down at his desk. Then he realized that the teacher was still watching him closely. He smiled awkwardly then said goodbye. He waved at Marcus before actually leaving the corridor.
When he came out of the school building, he saw Hani standing near his car. He rushed over to the lawyer. He smiled at the woman
"Good morning, Lawyer Kim."
Hani rolled her eyes. The writer is still being formal with her, especially with his current relationship with Macy.
"Macy didn't take her son to school?"
"This morning there was an urgent meeting. So she asked me to take Marcus. Why? You didn't call her first?" asked Andrew.
Hani glanced at the watch on her wrist. "I have no time. I thought I could see her for a bit while she was dropping off Marcus. Because this morning I also have to go to court."
The writer frowns. From the woman's expression it seemed like she wanted to say something important to Macy directly. "Is there something you want to talk to Macy about?"
"It is regarding the trial of the Katy case. But I will meet her in person," Hani said as she walked to her car. But then she turned around. "Oh?! Tell your agent to come to the office, okay? Regarding the obsessive fan case. Maybe this afternoon. I'll take my time around two o'clock."
Andrew nodded slightly. "Okay. I'll tell him."

Jared stood up from the chair and walked over to Macy who was on the other side of the big table in the meeting room. He sat next to the editor-in-chief who was checking her cell phone. They just finished with a long meeting for five hours. In the end, the woman had to ask Andrew to pick up Marcus at school.
