This morning, Macy prepared to go to St. Haven. According to what she said yesterday to Jared, today she will start back to work. She needs to take responsibility for her work. Even this month it feels like she doesn't deserve a salary because she hardly works at all. After she made sure the bandage on her wound was properly attached, she walked out of the room and headed for the kitchen.

There is a cup of coffee and a plate of sandwiches on the dining table. She smiled faintly. Looks like Andrew sneaked into her apartment to prepare this breakfast. Last night, she told the man to go back to his apartment. What's the point of him buying the apartment if it continues to be left empty? Although with a heavy heart, Andrew finally complied.

Macy took a sip of the hot coffee. She slightly flinched because it was a little bitter for her. Looks like Andrew forgot to add sugar –or maybe her boyfriend didn't know how much sugar she likes so he made bitter coffee like that. She then put two blocks of sugar into her coffee while sitting on a chair to eat a sandwich. Every now and then she checks her cell phone.

This morning, it felt so quiet and serene.

Yesterday after lunch, Macy took Marcus back to Ken's parents' house. She just thought that the situation was still not safe enough for her son to come back to live with her. Ah, regarding living together, she hasn't asked Hani about the custody appeal trial for Marcus yet. The last time the lawyer gave news, the judge still hasn't made a decision.

Macy just hoped that without seeing all the recent events, the judge could decide objectively. Although she had to be prepared if the judge would again decide that the custody fell on Ken.

If that happened, there was nothing more she could do. She didn't want Marcus involved in a lengthy custody battle. As long as she gets a fair visitation time – unlike the previous trial results – she will probably let their son live with Ken.

She glanced at the watch on her wrist. It was time for her to go to work.

After putting all the dirty plates and glasses into the sink, Macy returned to her room to get her bag. Then she opens the closet to get shoes and put them in the foyer. After making sure nothing was left, she walked out of her apartment.

She waited for the sound of the door being locked first before she went to the lift.

The editorial team is in chaos.

After Macy decided to get back to work on track, she asked all editors to provide reports on editing over the past month. Included in several upcoming major author projects and also expo activities. Well, of course the editors had predicted this beforehand, but still the same thing happened all of a sudden. They need to re-examine all report documents, especially those that have gone up to the board of directors.

Jared winces at seeing all the editors – heck a miracle the entire editor team came to work today, usually there are a few empty tables – so busy. Too busy that they didn't notice his arrival. Well, he knew exactly how professional Macy was at work. So, this situation is not surprising at all. The director sighed and walked towards the chief editor's room.

Oh, if it looks chaotic outside, Macy's room looks much worse. Her desk was filled with piles of documents. Even on the coffee table there are several documents and draft novels. Heck, some were even on the floor. Jared shook his head. Somehow the woman finished all this.

"Chief Editor Cruz?" asked the director as he walked behind the table. But he found someone behind the pile of documents. He frowned then looked around the room. He didn't want to find Macy lying unconscious among the piles of documents.
