Andrew sighed and handed the phone to Macy. There was a message from Hani saying that she was going to the hospital with Marcus. Oh, as well as an apology because the lawyer took the boy to a fast-food restaurant.
Macy returned the phone to Andrew who was sitting on the edge of her bed. The man reread the message. "Is it okay if Marcus comes here?" he asked as he stowed the phone on the nightstand next to the bed.
Macy nodded her head. It's also unavoidable after all. When Marcus found out about her condition, her son would want to see her right away. She just needs to prepare for the worst.
Hani didn't say anything about Marcus' emotions in her message. But she knows her son. Marcus will not cry in front of other people, not even close family or relatives like Hani. Even in front of his own parents, the little man still found it difficult to let out his emotions. However, for the current situation, Macy is sure that her son will definitely cry when he sees her.
Macy pulled Andrew's sleeve and wrote something on her lover's palm.
'Ice cream.'
Andrew's brows furrowed. "You want me to buy ice cream? For you?"
Macy shook her head.
"For Marcus?"
She nodded slightly and smiled. Andrew smiled too. He stroked her head gently. He seemed to be able to understand what his girlfriend meant.
"Okay, what kind of ice cream does he like?"

Hani opened Macy's room door and told Marcus to come in first. And the first person the boy saw was Andrew. The writer stood not far from the door and smiled at the child.
"Hey champ..." said Andrew.
Marcus just mumbled hello to the man. He then walked closer to the bed where Macy was waiting for him. Hani followed after she closed the door. Macy smiled widely when she saw her son. The boy just looked at her closely. He didn't dare to walk any closer.
Andrew, who stood behind Marcus, gave a little push for him to approach his mother. Macy also signaled for the boy to walk closer.
Just then, Marcus walked slowly. But the position of the bed was much higher than his current height. Andrew took the initiative to lift Marcus' body so he could sit beside his mom. Andrew also took off the boy's shoes.
Macy smiled at her son. Her hand reached out to caress his red cheek. She wanted to say hello to Marcus, but she couldn't.
"M-mommy..." the boy muttered. His voice was shaking.
Macy was still smiling so wide. And the next second, Marcus broke out crying. Oh, she felt so guilty for her son. Quickly, she hugged him tightly. Letting her son cry on her neck. She could feel his tears.
She rubbed her son's back gently.
Hani chose to go out. This is an intimate moment for the mother and son. She'll just be back after ten minutes. Andrew, who saw the lawyer walking out of the room, also thought of leaving Macy with Marcus.
Andrew looked at Macy and smiled. He stroked her head gently. "I'll wait outside, okay?" he whispered.
But when he was about to leave, Macy held his hand. He looked at her intently.
'Stay.'
"Are you sure?"
Macy nodded. Then she motioned Andrew to sit on the side of the bed. With Marcus in her arms, at least they still had enough space. Her son's tears still filled the whole room. Although not so loud, but Andrew felt so sad to hear it. However, it's different with Macy. The woman looked so calm. Andrew doesn't know what his lover really feels right now. He doesn't think any parent can rest easy if their child cries bitterly like Marcus. But she looks so calm, there's even a smile on her face.
