Macy felt something was missing. However, she also felt something was different. She narrowed her eyes slightly because of the glare of the sun that entered her treatment room. Quickly, she pulled her arm to cover her eyes. At that moment, she realized that she was holding something.
A cell phone.
Macy frowned, not understanding the phone. After all, it wasn't her cell phone. And another thing that she realized was Andrew's absence in the room.
Could this phone belong to the man?
She slowly got up and was about to press the home button on the cellphone when a nurse entered her room with a tray filled with food –a breakfast for her.
"Patient Cruz, you are not allowed to use a cell phone for now," said the nurse as she put the tray on the nightstand and then took the cell phone from her hand.
Macy looked at the nurse not understanding the reason. "Why can't I?"
The nurse then put the cellphone in the desk drawer and prepared the counter table to place the tray on the bed. "You have a mild concussion. The doctor recommends that you don't use your cellphone for three days, a laptop for at least two weeks and a complete rest for a month without doing strenuous activities," explained the nurse while placing a tray in front of her.
"I thought you were told beforehand? By the person who took care of you all day yesterday," said the nurse again.
She sighed. Heck, when she first came to her senses, Andrew only said about the concussion instead of banning her from using electronics. But when you think about it, their conversation went on auto-pilot. Or that's what she thought.
"Patient Cruz..."
Macy looked at the nurse again, then glanced at the breakfast menu. Ah, she doesn't like hospital food the most. "When can I go home?"
"Today you will have some more checks. If the results are not bad, the doctor will let you go home this afternoon."
She nodded slightly. "Thank you."

David heaved a sigh of relief when he saw Andrew's shoes in the foyer.
Last night, he came to the man's apartment and didn't see the owner. He didn't know where the man had gone and his cousin didn't reply to his messages or answer his calls. David took off his shoes and walked into the living room. He didn't see anyone, but because Andrew's shoes were in the foyer, he thought that the man was in his room. Then he chose to go to the kitchen to make breakfast. However, because he didn't see any groceries – Andrew seemed to have forgotten to go shopping – so he decided to just bake some bread.
Not long, when he was preparing bread, Andrew came out of the room with a tired face and his hair was still a bit wet. Andrew didn't greet David, even though he clearly saw the man.
"Where were you last night? Yesterday, after you left the studio?" David asked while putting some bread into the toaster.
Andrew didn't answer. He just took out a bottle of juice and took a glass. David glanced at his cousin.
"Andrew..."
"It's none of your business."
David sighed. "Andrew, please stop being angry with me. I know I was wrong and I'm sorry. But..." The toaster beeps. The agent took out the two loaves of bread and put them on a plate.
