Macy stared at the document in her hand so closely. She read each line of the sentence carefully. Not wanting anyone to escape her attention. She needs to make sure that the document is genuine and official. Complete with the signatures of the judge and two lawyers – Hani Kim and Mikee Lagman.
At the end of the document, she looked at Ken's signature. That's when she took a deep breath. Her hands seemed to be shaking.
Hani, who was nearby, grabbed the document from her hand. "Are you okay?"
She nodded slightly. She then cupped her hands together, trying not to shake them again. But that didn't work at all. Hani took a deep breath and handed her a pen.
"After you sign it, you officially have the full custody of Marcus, Macy."
Macy suddenly looked up at her lawyer slash friend. The custody of her son. It seemed that she didn't believe it at all when Hani contacted her and told her the results of the high court's verdict.
She managed to win an appeal against Marcus' custody.
She grabbed the pen and signed the document she had read over and over again. She signed it right next to Ken's signature. Even after signing it, she still couldn't believe the verdict.
Hani watched her friend carefully. "Are you sure you're okay, Macy?"
She nodded slightly. She then stood up from the sofa quickly – slightly surprising the lawyer. "I have to go back to St. Haven. When you asked me to come here, I was working on a draft."
"I understand. Sorry to ask you to come when you're busy. But I have to take this document back to the social service to get another document. I'll give you the full documents on Monday, okay?" Hani said while tidying up the document.
Macy mumbled. She was about to leave the lawyer's room, when she turned and looked at Hani.
"Why?"
She then approached the lawyer and hugged her tightly. It surprised the woman a bit.
"Thank you, Hani."
Hani smiled faintly and patted Macy's back. "I will always help you, Mace. Always, remember that."
She smiled gratefully. Yes, Hani will always be there for her – like sisters or even mother and daughter sisters who are always together and support each other. And she is very lucky to be surrounded by the people who love her so much.
Then she let go of the hug. She smiled once again at the lawyer. "Thank you, again... for everything."
Hani gently patted her cheek. "If you're so grateful, give me a day with Marcus. You know, you're not the only one who wants to spoil that bright child."
"That can be arranged. My son would also love to spend time with his pretty aunt."
"And you'd better go back to St. Haven. I don't want to make the reputation of the nominee for the Editor-in-Chief of St. Haven become ugly in the eyes of the other employees."
She chuckled, then left the lawyer's office.

Ken watched his son who was still in the classroom from the big window. He smiled seeing the boy's active attitude with his friends. The teacher is teaching numbers through a song and all the kids are following her. He chuckled at Marcus' expression, who managed to follow the song while jumping for joy. It seemed that he rarely saw his son's activities at school like this.
