"Daddy..."

Marcus' voice woke Ken. After Gil closed the door, he was lost in thought. He felt a little weird about Macy's reaction – and that included Gil and Writer Coangco's attitude. In the past, Ken might not often pay attention to his ex-wife's every expression, but because of what happened a few minutes ago, he came to realize something.

When Gil came to tell that Writer Coangco was coming but just left without meeting Macy, the woman immediately went to chase him. Without even looking at him. Macy didn't even seem to hesitate to chase the writer.

"Daddy...!" exclaimed Marcus again; a bit upset because he seems to be ignored.

Ken turned to his son, who was looking at him curiously. Maybe because he had been daydreaming for too long. "Yes, dear?"

"Today..." the boy looked back at his workbook. "May I stay at Daddy's house?"

Oh? The question took Ken by surprise. It seems a few days ago his son was still cold to him because he didn't give him permission to meet his mom and even ran away and had to be rushed to the hospital because his hand was injured.

Previously, Marcus also still seemed to ignore it. But today, his son asked permission to stay with him. Well, legally Marcus should still be living with Ken – because that was the previous court's decision – and his son is using the word 'stay' to hurt his feelings a bit but he won't protest for now. Because it seems Marcus' attitude is starting to melt towards him.

Ken smiled faintly. He touched his son's head and rubbed it gently. "Of course, you can. You should probably talk to mommy first."

The boy nodded slightly. "Anyway, mommy is busy, I don't want to disturb her."

"Eh? You're not intruding, honey. Mommy must also think the same thing," Ken said softly. "Why do you think like that, honey?"

Marcus shrugged.

Ken just smiled faintly. "If you really want to stay overnight, you should talk to mommy first, okay?"

Andrew took off his shoes in the foyer and walked towards the living room where he plopped down on the sofa. Today he didn't do much, but he felt so tired. He took a deep breath and covered his eyes with his arms. He felt so ridiculous. Just because he saw Macy was in the same room with her ex-husband – even Marcus was there – his heart felt so heavy. He was also childish by leaving St. Haven when he just got there – in fact, it wasn't even two minutes before he was in the editorial department but just by seeing the man in Macy's room, he just wanted to leave St. Haven.

Then he slowly opened his eyes. "Stop being childish, Andrew Coangco. Your current age is too old to act like a teenager."

Andrew then took out his cellphone and typed a short message for his lover.

To: Mace

I'm sorry for my attitude earlier.

Six short words and he immediately sent it. He laughed a little – laughed at himself. Then he typed another message for his agent.

To: David Lee

You'd probably laugh if you knew what I did today.

David's reply came faster than Macy's.

From: David Lee
