Gil approached Macy when he saw his boss enter the cafe for an interview with a television station. This is the last public interview of the week. Because next week, promotional events start to be oriented towards fans and book clubs. Even though the PR team hasn't finished the fan sign event at the end of the promotion weekend.
Macy often comes suddenly to the interview location. When asked why, the editor-in-chief only said that she wanted to have a look. Macy was at the interview location for only ten to fifteen minutes. After greeting Agent Lee and Writer Coangco, she then said goodbye to Gil.
Well, Gil himself did not understand his boss' actions. Either he just wanted to have a look or Macy still hasn't let go of the team's responsibility to Gil.
"Head Editor..."
Macy lightly tapped Gil's shoulder and watched Andrew who was still having an interview.
"Everything went smoothly?" she asked as she looked around the café area.
Since her car case earlier in the week, St. Haven added the number of security team officers. Although there is no suspicion that the perpetrators of the act are the obsessive fans, they can't just let their guard down.
"Everything is alright. You came here by taxi again?" said Gil.
Macy mumbled. "That makes it easier."
Well, St. Haven has actually provided a car facility for Macy as long as the editor-in-chief doesn't have a new car. But she rarely uses it and is still parked in the basement of her apartment. And if she goes anywhere, Macy uses public transportation more often.
"It's easier if you drive your own car, ma'am."
Macy glanced at Gil. "Are you telling me to hurry up and buy a new car?"
"It's not like that but..."
Macy chuckled and lightly punched Gil in the stomach. "Do not think about it. Today the police will return my damaged car. If it can't be fixed, I'll go straight to the dealer."
Gil just let out a short sigh. He then heard a sign from one of the television station staff that they were going to take a short break. Gil then walked over to Jen leaving Macy looking for an empty table in the corner near the entrance.
Macy noticed Andrew who approached David and spoke briefly before the writer approached her. She slightly glanced at Gil who seemed to be starting to realize something – because his expression changed when he saw Andrew walking towards her. She sighed.
"You came again, Editor Cruz," said Andrew who pulled a chair and sat opposite Macy.
Andrew never calls her casually when they are in public. The writer always calls her with Editor Cruz, although sometimes Andrew also calls her Miss Macy.
She smiled faintly. "Just trying to keep a promise," she muttered.
The answer made Andrew grin. Then one of the staff approached them with a cup of Americano for the writer.
"Chief Editor, would you like something to drink?"
Macy shook her head. "I won't be long. Just stopping by before going to the police station."
The staff nodded slightly and then left the two of them. The man then looked at her seriously.
"About your car? Have they found the culprit yet?"
