Hani glanced at Marcus who was doing his schoolwork. She walked away from the living room, towards her study and closed the door slowly.

"How is she?"

"It seems pretty bad. The ambulance medical team said it looked like Macy's vocal cords were injured and swollen. That would make it difficult for her to speak. Others still need to be checked."

Shit, this is bad news. It feels like they've only been apart for less than two hours, but Jared calls her and gives her the bad news. She really wanted to go to the hospital or maybe the police station to make sure that the woman was immediately put behind bars. But she couldn't. Marcus is with her. And she didn't want to worry the boy.

"Then what about Katy?"

"The police came and immediately took her to the police station. Hani, you have to make sure that woman can't touch Macy or even Marcus. What is she doing... I may not have seen how the woman hurt Macy but I can confirm that the woman is insane."

The lawyer pressed her forehead hard. Well, she remembered what Doctor Steven said about Katy's sociopath condition. But what the woman did, wasn't just a sociopath. What she did to Macy was an attempted murder.

"I will contact my office and send a lawyer to make sure that Katy will not be able to walk free after what she did to Macy," said Hani. "You accompanied Macy to the hospital?"

"That's how it is. I can't let her go alone. Are you going to tell Marcus?"

Hani sighed. That is another problem. "We just met less than two hours ago. Marcus... I'll find the right time to tell him. Not today. And after all, he knew that Macy would be busy with work these two or three days. He won't be suspicious if his mommy doesn't call or meet him at school."

"If that's what you think is best. But what about Andrew Coangco?"

Hani becomes silent for a moment. "Andrew Coangco? What about that writer?"

"Hani Kim, you can't hide anything from me."

"I could. Because it's not my right to talk about it," said Hani.

There was the sound of Jared's sigh on the other end of the phone.

"Alright, I won't press you for now. But you might be able to tell him about Macy's condition. But remind him to be careful."

The lawyer smiled faintly. "I'll tell him."

David prevented his cousin from stepping out of the studio. A few minutes ago, they got a call from Attorney Kim about what happened at St. Haven. Of course, the man will be impulsive. Without listening to a clearer explanation from the lawyer, Andrew hung up the phone and took his car keys.

But David is rational for this one.

"Get out of the way, David Lee!" said the writer firmly.

David shook his head. "Cool your head first, Andrew. You can't go to the hospital in your current emotional state. Especially with self-driving cars."

"Then you drive!!" the man shouted loudly as he threw the car keys at him.

David caught the key and sighed. "But not now, Andrew. It's still too chaotic. Besides, you won't be able to do anything at the hospital while Macy is receiving treatment."
