David walked down the hall carrying a paper bag and a bouquet of flowers. He smiled at the few who recognized him. Well, this isn't the first time he visited the place. However, the frequency of David's arrival is usually only once every two or three months. But since Andrew and he moved to Manila, he can come more often.

Maybe not as often as he wanted because Andrew could suspect him.

After turning in the last hallway, he stopped at a door at the end of the hall. He slowly opened the door and sighed. When he stepped inside, he had a smile on his face.

"Aunt, I'm here again!" David exclaimed.

But there was no reply. He closed the door slowly and walked towards the table in the middle of the room. He put the bag and bouquet of flowers he was carrying. He saw a vase with flowers that had almost dried up and the flowers were already withered. A sign that it has been so long since his last visit. He sighed.

"Aunt, the flowers die so fast, right? Do you think I should come to see you often? But why does every time I come; the flowers are always dead? Is it because of the poor air circulation here?"

David said as he took the dried flowers out of the vase and threw them in the trash.

Then he took the vase to the bathroom to get rid of the remaining water, clean it, and filled it with new water for the flower bouquet he brought.

When he came back, David immediately put the bouquet of flowers into the vase.

"Aunt, I brought some more books. Have you finished reading the ones I brought the other day?" asked David again who now open to the paper bag he was carrying. Inside the paper bag, there are several books. One of them is Andrew's novel. "Oh yes, this time I brought Andrew's novel. The novel was published two years in Sydney. So, he wrote it in English. But I think you can read it."

Then he brought the books to one of the nightstands near the bed. He took the pile of books he had brought before, then replaced them with the new books.

David then put the old books into the paper bag he had brought. "Aunt, do you know something? I think Andrew has changed. Even though it's a good kind of change, but I still find it so weird. If you see his recent behavior, I'm sure that you will agree with me."

He took a deep breath. Then he turned and looked at the bed. Unsteadily, he walked over to the bed and stood at the end of it. His gaze could not be separated from the figure of a woman lying weakly on the bed with her eyes closed.

On her wrist is an IV needle. At first glance, you would think that the woman was just fast asleep. But unfortunately, the woman had been asleep for the last ten years. And the doctor who keeps on monitoring the woman every year, still can't tell when the woman will wake up or if the woman will ever wake up.

"Aunt, your son is so annoying."

Macy watched Andrew pour some soju into her glass. She doesn't think she's ever seen the man drink this much. And somehow Andrew's mood seems to change so fast. It seemed the whole trip, the man seemed fine.

She sighed. She saw the three empty soju bottles in front of Andrew. Maybe she shouldn't have ordered soju. Now neither of them can drive home. Even though she only drank a little.

"Andrew, I think you've had too much to drink." Macy tried to stop the man as he was aiming for his fourth bottle.

Andrew downed his soju in one gulp. Then he looked at Macy closely. "But I'm not drunk."
