It was almost midnight when Macy and Andrew arrived at their apartment building.
David should have brought Andrew – or they could have called a replacement driver. But with their argument, Andrew just wants to go home alone.
Therefore, Macy offered to take the man home. After all, they live in the same apartment building – even though David doesn't know it and Macy doesn't drink alcohol at all. David is very grateful because he can't let his cousin go home by taxi alone.
Macy watched Andrew walk to his unit. The man didn't talk at all during their drive. Honestly, she was a little worried. However, this is the man's personal matter. The issue was related to his biological mother. Even if she wanted to, there was nothing she could offer to help Andrew.
"Macy..." the man said quietly.
Macy was still looking at Andrew who was standing in front of his unit door. Andrew then slightly turned to her. "The box from yesterday, can you give it to me again?"
"Okay, I'll take it first."
Andrew nodded slightly. He mumbled a thank you and opened the door.

When Macy entered Andrew's apartment unit with the wooden box, she saw the man on the veranda with a can of beer in his hand. His coat had been taken off and he was on the sofa with his boots on the floor, just giggling. Heck, she hasn't changed her clothes yet. She approached Andrew and then handed the wooden box to the owner.
Andrew glanced at the wooden box. "You haven't opened it yet?"
"This is yours. Even if you want me to open it first, it's still wrong. This is your time capsule, so you have to open it," Macy said.
Andrew did not agree. It's a time capsule, but he has given permission to the woman to open it. After all, whoever found it, they would definitely open the box without thinking who it belonged to.
Andrew took the box and took it inside. He put the beer can on the coffee table and sat on the sofa. His gaze was still fixed on the old wooden box. Macy closed the window to prevent cold air from entering. She was still watching the man who had not opened the box.
Maybe Macy should just return to his unit.
"Andrew, I..."
"Stay," Andrew whispered. Slowly he lifted his head and looked at Macy. "Please, stay with me," he said again as he reached out to Macy.
The editor stared at him intently. She knew that Andrew was in a difficult situation. For twelve years, David kept the big truth from him. But then suddenly the man gave Andrew a choice to make a tough decision. Heck, if Macy was in Andrew's position right now, he would react the same way as the man.
And now, the writer asked her to at least be by his side. Like giving moral support. As if to say everything will be fine.
Macy took a deep breath and welcomed the outstretched hand. Andrew smiled slightly and gripped her fingers tightly. Then she moved to sit beside Andrew. "You have to open it."
Andrew nodded slightly. But he again handed the box to Macy.
Well, Macy didn't protest. She took the box from the man's hand and opened it slowly. Inside was a folded sheet of paper and a photo. She took them out and opened the folded paper.
"Letter of surrender of custody," Macy muttered. "This is the consent letter for your adoption?"
Andrew took the paper and read it briefly. "It seems so. Sixth of February, year 1986. Two days later I was adopted by the Coangco family and moved to America."
