Liam opens the door to Macy's office and frowns when he finds that the room is empty. He closed the door again and walked over to Gil who was talking to the two editors.

"Senior, the Chief Editor didn't come to work?" Liam asked.

Gil turned to Liam then glanced at the Editor's empty room. He took a short breath. "The Editor-in-Chief deserves a day off after what happened in the past few days, right?"

"Paid leave?"

"No, Liam. The Chief Editor just said that he would take care of something. Personal. Why? What about the script revision?" Gil asked.

Liam shook his head. "It's not about that. Haha... I'll just send an email." Then Liam returned to his desk.

Gil took a deep breath and glanced at Macy's room once more. Actually, he was also a little surprised when this morning he got an email from the Editor saying that she won't be coming to work today and asking Gil to take care of some things at the office.

Apart from being sick or because of her family matters, the woman never takes a day off. Even if she had to take care of her personal matters, Macy would still come to the office even if only for a few hours.

But today is so different. The editor didn't say a clear reason why she didn't come in. Even when Gil tried to contact her to ask if she was sick or something else, the editor-in-chief just said that there was something very important she needed to finish.

Gil didn't ask any further. Although he had known Macy for a long time, their relationship was only limited to co-workers. So, whatever she had to do today, Gil just wished her the best.

David snorted in annoyance. Andrew's cell phone can't be reached at all. And when he came to his cousin's apartment, he found it empty. That means the writer has gone somewhere, without telling him at all. And stupidly, Andrew went without driving his car.

He doesn't know where he's going, but it's impossible for Andrew to go by public transportation with an obsessive fan related situation. And so, he assumes that the man must have gone with someone else.

But with whom?

"David..."

He turned and saw a nurse in the doorway. "Yes, nurse?"

"Doctor Santos wants to talk to you. Regarding Mrs. Estrella's condition."

David nodded slightly, then the nurse closed the door. Leaving him in the infirmary. The agent put his cell phone in his jeans pocket. Then he walked over to the hospital bed. He looked at the woman who was still sound asleep.

Slowly, David took a deep breath. "Auntie, you may need to pray for your son. If he comes back from wherever he is right now and he can't come up with a plausible explanation at all, I'll hit him. Maybe hard enough that he has to go to the hospital."

But it looks like that would be impossible. Andrew will definitely find a way to escape his fury. But I don't know what explanation the man will give him later.

"I'll be back after talking to doctor Santos."

Macy walked slowly on the path. Around her at this time, as far as the eye could see there were only towering trees. And this is the first time she's been in the place. But she didn't think that Andrew knew the place, especially since he spent half his age abroad more often than in the Philippines.
