Macy looked at her desk one last time.

It was so sad when she didn't find her name plaque on the table but Gil's. Even the room has changed a lot. Yesterday, all of her personal belongings in this room had been moved to her new room on the eighth floor – the directors' floor – opposite to Jared's room.

She took a deep breath then looked around the room. Six years is really a short time with the various experiences she has gained as the Chief Editor.

"Director Cruz..."

She turned around and saw Gil in the doorway in his formal attire. Half an hour ago Gil and she had gone through the process of transferring responsibility that inaugurated Gil's new position as editor-in-chief.

She walked over to him. "I'm not a director yet, Gil."

"They are already waiting in the hall. Director Miller asked me to pick you up," said Gil, trying to hold back a big smile. "Ms. Director."

Macy snorted. Somehow Gil became more daring to be like that to her. She then walked out of the old room. Gil accompanied her to the elevator.

She glanced briefly at all the empty editor desks. Jared is exaggerating this event too much. How could he have all the staff of St. Haven to gather in the hall for an event that might only last less than thirty minutes.

Well, maybe more than thirty minutes because St. Haven will also be holding a special event for the retiring Director Sanchez. But still, for her, this is too much.

"Ah... Writer Coangco came with Marcus," Gil said suddenly as they entered the elevator.

Her eyebrows rose. Well, she already knew that. The man said that he and Marcus will come to St. Haven.

"Okay," she mumbled, nodding.

Gil glanced at the soon-to-be director who looked stunning and elegant in a dress ordered by Director Miller. Heck, even when the woman just arrived, many female employees said that Macy looked so charming.

Before long, the elevator stopped on the first floor and the steel door swung open. Macy stepped out followed by Gil. In the hallway she saw Andrew who was with her son chatting with Jared. Suddenly when he saw her, Marcus immediately ran to her.

She smiled and bent down slightly to hug the boy. Then she straightened Marcus' clothes. Her lover seems to have a very good fashion sense. Her son dressed casually in a soft pastel shirt plus a navy knit outer – to match the color of her dress, jeans, and white shoes. Hell, she doesn't seem to notice that it's all in Marcus' wardrobe.

"Have you had breakfast?"

The boy nodded. "Uncle Andrew made meatball pasta. It was very delicious! Uncle also left some for you, mommy!"

"Is that true? Mommy will try it later then."

Macy smiled and smoothed Marcus' hair. Then she stood up when Andrew approached them. Her lover then handed her a bouquet of soft pink and blue roses. The man also looks so handsome in his navy semi-formal suit. Heck, looks like her boyfriend intentionally matched the colors the three of them are wearing today.

Her face slightly reddened when she received the bouquet. Moreover, there are so many people staring at them. It wasn't just Jared, but there were several other Directors, including Director Sanchez and several other department heads. However, none of them seemed to be staring questioningly. Especially with the presence of the famous writer.
