Macy knew something was wrong. During dinner, everything was awkward. Andrew may be smiling and chatting with Marcus but nothing more than that. He even looked at her with a strange look. A little different before she went to meet Hani. In addition, she also felt strange when the man let her go without many questions.

Well, maybe not something strange, but still feels different. And it might have something to do with the phone. Maybe David talked to Andrew about their conversation earlier at the picnic. There were so many possibilities that she wasn't sure.

She sighed and smiled at Marcus. She stroked her son's head affectionately.

"Good night, sweetheart."

The boy smiled. "Good night, mommy."

Macy then turned off the room light and left the lamp on the nightstand still on. She left the room by closing the door slowly. She walked towards the living room afterward. Andrew was back on the veranda, a glass of wine in his hand.

She approached him. The cold night air touched her face and the wind blew against her black hair.

"Andrew..."

The man turned around, looked at her, and smiled. "Marcus is asleep?"

She nodded and drew closer to her lover. She touched Andrew's hand then took the wine glass from his hand. The writer did not protest. Macy took a sip of the wine. She looked at the empty glass.

"Do you want to tell or ask me something?" she muttered.

"About what?"

Macy shrugged her shoulders. "Anything."

Andrew is still watching the woman who is still focused on the wine glass in her hand. Her body looks tense. It was as if she was waiting for the worst scenario to happen. He doesn't understand what Macy is afraid of right now. They're already together, so what else?

"And will you answer if I ask you something?" he whispered.

Macy took a deep breath and slowly lifted her head. She looked at Andrew intently and nodded. There may be no point in trying to find justification. She didn't want this relationship to fall apart before they even started.

Andrew reached out his hand and rubbed his lover's cheek which felt cold. Then pull it quickly. He put it in his jeans pocket. His back was against the iron back of the veranda.

"How did you meet Katy?"

Well, that's not the question Macy expected.

"We met on campus. During the freshman festival. We have different majors, but belong to the same club."

"And you started to be friends with her then."

She shook her head. "We rarely see each other. Only when club events take place. I wasn't even very familiar with her, at the beginning."

"How did you two get along then?"

"She helped me. During a club event in a province, a campus charity event for an orphanage. I got lost in the forest during a treasure quest game. I brought four children at that time. We missed a clue and got lost. Katy served as the security team and was looking for us. She found us after three hours. Since then, we have become closer," Macy explained.

The editor looked down again, her shoulders slouched. "Until now," she continued muttering.

Andrew nodded. Well, he never understands how Macy could be friends with that woman for so long and never saw any indication of her strange behavior.
