Hani sighed when she saw Macy's figure already in the waiting room of the courthouse. Many times, she said that Macy did not need to attend the trial especially with her condition still not fully recovered.
The lawyer walked over to the woman. Then sat on the chair in front of Macy. Hani looked closely at the editor. Hell, she realized that her friend's face was even worse than when she came to the hospital two days ago.
"Are you really, okay?"
Macy glanced at her and mumbled. "I cannot sleep. I think I'm a little nervous."
"You shouldn't have come."
"It does not matter. Besides, there's nothing I can do if I stay at home. Plus, I have to take a week off."
Hani knows that Macy is very stubborn. "You're driving?"
"No. I still love my life, Lawyer Kim. By taxi."
Hani smiled. At the very least, her common sense was still working fine. "That's good. Then I'll take you home."
Macy just mumbled softly.
The lawyer frowned. It seemed that her friend had other things on her mind besides today's trial.
And again, the woman just looked down and only glanced at her. As if Macy avoided eye contact with her.
"Did something happen? In the office, for example? Or your personal problem?"
Macy gave a small smile. She sighed and leaned back in the chair. For the first time, she really looked at Hani. Slightly flinched, Hani saw her face at this time. Apart from her pale face, her eye bags looked so black. Oh, this is Macy's worst condition as long as Hani knows her. It was much worse during the trial period for Macy and Ken's divorce.
"Personal problems. So, don't ask too much, Lawyer Kim."

Ken is worried. And he knew he shouldn't. But after all he is still a human who has empathy.
After a few days, when he came to St. Haven, he did not see Macy's figure and the editor he asked did not give a clear answer about the woman's whereabouts, today Ken met his ex-wife in such a bad condition. Obviously, Macy was sick. Maybe that's the reason Ken didn't see her at St. Haven.
He glanced at Macy who was sitting across from his position. Currently, her lawyer is giving a statement to the judge to ensure that Macy is more deserving of the custody of Marcus. And Ken should have listened but he was so busy watching Macy who just looked down.
The woman didn't even utter a word. And when the judge questioned her, Hani gave the answer with the excuse that Macy was unwell.
Ken sighed. His ex-wife may be working too hard. With all the work and a hectic book release schedule, Macy may be neglecting her own health. During their marriage, Macy often fell ill. And even though Ken had told her to take time off, the woman insisted on completing her work responsibilities. Until finally the woman collapsed and had to be hospitalized.
This time, it seemed no different. Maybe Macy's body has reached the peak of enduring pain. And Ken just hoped that the woman could take better care of her health. After all, there was no one to take care of her when she was sick.
Ken was a little surprised when Macy turned and looked at him. Heck, he looks like he's being caught stalking. However, the woman only stared at him for a few seconds before finally looking down again. Ken sighed.
