David opened the door to the infirmary a bit hard. Taking a deep breath, he entered the room. But he didn't see anyone except his aunt. There is no sign of his cousin's whereabouts. David's shoulders dropped slightly. He then looked at his aunt and walked to the end of the bed.

"Didn't Andrew see Aunt?" he asked slowly. "I think he went here because I saw his car."

Well, that's right. David clearly recognized Andrew's car parked in the hospital parking area. So, David thought that when the man left the studio earlier, he went to the hospital just to see his biological mother. That's also the reason why David was half running towards his aunt's room.

But no one was there. That only means one thing. Andrew did not meet his mother.

David took a deep breath. "I should have told him straight away years ago. Even though his mother said I had to find the right time to tell Andrew about his aunt, he should have done it quickly. Not to wait this long. At least if he does it sooner, his aunt might be able to meet Andrew."

However, time has passed. He can't go back. Regret is useless. Crying over spilled milk is useless.

"Aunt..." David muttered. "Would you like to go to a better place?"

"That would be much better, wouldn't it? Compared to us having to keep you here longer. It's been ten years. I'm sure, aunt is also very tired," he said again.

Then David left the infirmary. This time he slowly closed the door.

When Jino and Paul arrived at St. Haven, he saw Gil in the editor-in-chief's room. Paul returns to his desk and Jino walks over to Liam who is busy making some corrections to the draft of the novel he was handling.

"What is Senior Gil doing?" Jino asked.

Liam lifted his head to look at Jino briefly then turned his gaze towards the editor-in-chief's room where Gil was tidying up some of the novel drafts that were on Macy's desk.

"The board of directors decided that while Chief Cruz is recovering, Senior Gil will be in charge of doing the final revisions. Well, that's pretty much all Chief Cruz's work," Liam said.

Jino nodded. "Will the board of directors give Chief Cruz a special leave? For how long?"

"For as long as it takes. But it will need the results of a doctor's examination. But knowing Chief Cruz's nature, she'll probably be back in two weeks, correct?" Liam said.

But then he took a deep breath. "But she's been working so hard. Eight years as Chief Editor. She was so professional about her job that she even sacrificed her marriage."

"Will the board of directors give her a new position?" Jino's assumption.

Liam shrugged. "If Author Coangco's novel trilogy is a huge hit, that's for sure. Oh yeah..." the young editor then focused on his computer screen and opened an email he had received about half an hour ago.

Liam shows the email to Jino. "The temporary sale of Writer Coangco's novel."

Jino bent slightly to be able to read the contents of the email.

"When I contacted the bookstore to tell them that Chief Cruz couldn't go there, they sent me this email. This is only a sale in some bookstores. But look at the numbers..." Liam continued.

Jino mumbled. "Almost fifty bookstores are not a few, Liam. Forty-nine thousand seven hundred eighty copies. That's almost the quota for the first print, isn't it?"
