Marcus came out with his backpack on.
Today he will spend time with his dad, because yesterday he had been with his mom all day. So, Macy just thought that it would be much fairer if Ken could spend time with Marcus. Especially for the past two weeks, the boy has lived with Hani.
After breakfast, Macy called Ken and half an hour later the man was in the living room of her apartment.
Even though Andrew objected a little, he didn't say anything. Marcus' matters are Macy's business with Ken. And whatever the woman's decision to the boy is her right as a parent. So, he just stood on the veranda. Occasionally pay attention to Macy and Ken who do not have any interaction at all.
However, he knew that Ken was also looking at him closely.
Macy smiled. "Have you brought everything you need?"
Marcus nodded. "But how about my school uniform for tomorrow?"
"Aunt Hani will take them to daddy's house. I told her about that earlier," Macy said.
The boy sighed and then he pulled his mommy's hand so his mother squatted a little. He then hugged Macy tightly. "Shall we meet again tomorrow?"
"Of course. Mommy will pick you up at school," she said again.
Marcus then let go of her arms and walked over to Andrew. The writer smiled for the first time since Ken arrived and carried her son.
"Then we'll go out again like yesterday again, okay? With Uncle David too," said Marcus.
Andrew nodded. "Of course, Marcus."
Marcus smirked. He then kissed Andrew's cheek briefly. It made Macy and Ken a little wide-eyed because the boy only did that to his parents. Even when Hani asked for it, he would refuse. But now he kissed his uncle without being told.
The boy then got off of Andrew's arms and ran to his father. He grabbed Ken's hand and waved his hand. Macy replied and saw that her son was walking out with her ex-husband.
And after the sound of the door being locked automatically, Macy suddenly turned to Andrew. Seeing the woman's expression, Andrew felt that something was wrong.
"Why?" he asked, confused.
Macy blinked and breathed slowly. "Marcus kissed your cheek."
"Well, he did. Then? I thought it was a normal thing."
Macy then walked over to the man. She looked at her lover intently. "But Andrew, my son never kisses other people's cheeks."
"Okay...?"
Honestly, Andrew didn't know what Macy meant by that. If Marcus never kisses other people's cheeks, is that something bad? Could it be that she and Ken repeatedly told the boy not to do that to strangers? But is he still a stranger? After all Marcus must have done it to other family relatives too?
And as if answering his thoughts, Macy shook her head. "No, Andrew. You do not understand. Marcus never kissed anyone other than me and Ken. Not even Hani or even his grandparents. You are the first."
Oh. Oh!
Now Andrew can understand Macy and Ken's expression when their son kissed his cheek. He thought it was bad.
"Andrew, did you say something to Marcus?"
Oh, hell! He doesn't want to tell his girlfriend right now. Maybe after lunch or dinner. But not three minutes after the boy left with his father.
