Ken just looked at the email that had just been sent by St. Haven regarding the launch of his latest novel which was forced to be postponed. Well, this was predictable. St. Haven of course wouldn't stand idly by if their Editor-in-Chief got into trouble. Moreover, Jared Miller will ensure that Macy will get justice.

Actually, he doesn't really care if the launch of his novel is delayed. But he was a little worried about the reaction of the public and Katy herself. Hani Kim has great connections because of her profession as a lawyer, but Katy, that woman can't be underestimated either. And if in the end this case will spread widely, then what Ken is really worried about is their son, Marcus.

He briefly replied to an email from St. Havens. It only contains that he understands and respects the decision of St. Haven. After the email was sent, he went to tidy up some of Marcus' belongings. He will drop the boy back to Macy after he picks him up from his friend's house.

And just as Ken was about to get ready to leave with Marcus' backpack in hand, his apartment bell rang. He put the backpack on the sofa and went to open the door. He was so surprised when he found the figure of Katy standing in front of his apartment door.

"Kate..."

Katy smirked at him then she stepped in without the owner's permission. The woman looks so angry that she doesn't even take off her shoes. Well, Ken is quite relieved that Marcus is not at the apartment at the moment.

In the living room, Katy can see Marcus' backpack on the sofa. She snorted. Looks like Ken is planning to take his son to Macy's apartment. And seeing the quiet condition of the apartment, the child seemed to be going out to play.

"What's wrong Kate?" Ken asked.

Katy turned to look at the man. "I don't think I need to explain anything. You must have received an email notification from St. Havens."

"That's right," Ken said with a sigh. "But I don't know why you came here, Kate."

Katy snorted again. Ken's reaction was too casual for a writer who had just been told that the launch of his novel was postponed after long preparations. The launch day is even just a few days away – ten days to be exact.

"I see, you don't even look disappointed."

"It was just postponed, Kate. Not canceled."

"Right. Your novel has only been delayed, but my contract has been terminated by St. Havens."

Oh, now Ken understands Katy's current anger. If the contract is terminated by St. Haven, then it will also affect the writer contract handled by Katy at St. Haven. But Ken has not received any news about the agent's contract termination.

Katy smirked sarcastically. "You don't look surprised either."

"Kate, I'm sure there's a valid reason why it happened."

"Of course, there is a reason! The fucking Macy Bianca Cruz! If it weren't for that woman, then St. Havens..."

Oh, Ken has had enough of all of Katy's bullshit. This all happened because of her fault. How could she blame others for all her actions?

"Don't blame Macy, Kate. You know, if you didn't act as you pleased, then this wouldn't have happened."

Katy's eyes flashed with anger. "You are blaming me?" she growled.

Ken remains silent. Katy's tone turned cold and sinister. The woman's temperament can sometimes change so quickly. Somehow the other people who frequently interacted with her never realized this sooner.

"Kate, you know very well that all your actions will lead to a big problem. Especially with regards to Macy. Whatever you did to her that day, it made Hani furious. You might think you're going to get away with it, but you're so wrong. Everything is now turning to you," said Ken.

Then he walked closer to Katy. He needed to stop the woman before this matter got any bigger. He doesn't care if Katy will drag his name. But Macy's suffering needs to end right now. He then grabbed Katy's hand.

"Stop it, Kate. Stop all this and admit your mistake."

Katy looked at Ken in disbelief. "Are you saying that I should turn myself in to the police? You know, I can drag you down with me." She threatened Ken.

"I know. But I don't care," said Ken quickly. "I know, you really care about Macy. And so am I. Can you sleep well after knowing what you did to her has hurt her so much? If so, then how about your friendship with her so far. Over fifteen years, Kate? Will you just throw it away? Think about it."

David raised his head when he heard the sound of the bedroom door opening. He was sitting in the living room when Andrew came out with messy hair and a tired face even though he had slept for almost ten hours.

"Did you sleep well?" asked David.

Andrew looked at the man intently. Then he realized something. Previously, he had insisted on staying awake at least until Macy woke up. Then David gave him a cup of coffee but soon his vision became blurry and he couldn't remember anything else but waking up in his own room and not in Macy's apartment.

"You gave me sleeping pills," said Andrew.

David smiled faintly. "It was not sleeping pills. Doctor Steven gave you a sedative. The effect is drowsy. And you slept almost ten hours."

Andrew's eyes widened. He slept for ten hours! Then he checked the digital clock on the wall. How could he sleep that long?! Then what about Macy?

David noticed Andrew's expression. He then approached the man and pushed him to the dining table. Andrew tried to refuse, but it seems the effect of the drug is still there because his body still feels weak. David managed to make his cousin sit down.

"I know you want to meet Macy," said David who walked to the kitchen to get soup for Andrew.

"I'll tell you her current condition."

"Is she still not awake?" asked Andrew.

David took a spoon and put the bowl of soup and the spoon in front of him. "She's awake. Her condition looks good. And maybe right now she is still talking to Doctor Steven. That is if Lawyer Kim manages to convince her to explain what happened to the woman named Katy Perez."

"I want to see her."

David shook his head. "I know, but not now. I don't know why, but Doctor Steven wants Macy to talk without someone having a special relationship with her."

"But Lawyer Kim-"

David again interrupted Andrew's argument. "Lawyer Kim is not her lover, Andrew."

Well, that made Andrew speechless. David then sat in front of him. He took a short breath. David needs rest. His body still hadn't recovered, but he couldn't leave Andrew alone.

"You saw for yourself how Macy's hysterical reaction was, didn't you? She's only been asleep for a while and you just want to move her to the room. But see how she reacts when she suddenly wakes up? Andrew, whatever happened to Macy that day..."

"You don't think Macy was sexually assaulted, do you?"

David shook his head. "Lawyer Kim said that the post-mortem did not show that. You even listened to the explanations of other doctors who came with Doctor Steven. But that Katy Perez must have done something to Macy. Right now, they need to know about it and only Macy can explain it to herself."

Andrew didn't say anything. He just slumped his back on the chair and stared at the bowl of soup that was now getting cold. He felt so helpless over what happened to his lover. The same feeling when Nina died. He couldn't even ease the pain felt by Nina –or Macy

"Eat the soup first. Then you shower and change clothes. After that, when Doctor Steven is done, you can see Macy."
