Andrew woke up the first time to find a nurse looking at him uncomfortably. The inpatient room lights came back on and he was a little relieved because Macy, who was still sleeping in his arms, didn't seem bothered by the bright light.

Oh, well...

He sighed. Now he is fully awake. He signaled the nurse to wait. He had to find a way to release the woman from his embrace and get out of bed without waking her up.

After almost ten minutes, he finally managed to get out of bed. He put on his shoes quickly.

"Sorry, but the patient..." Andrew tried to find a reason why he could sleep on Macy's bed – especially by hugging the editor.

The nurse shook her head. "That's okay. I just need to do some checking."

He nodded slightly and let the nurse work. For a moment, he glanced at the window. It seems the sky looks brighter than before. He frowns. Shouldn't it be darker? Andrew thought he fell asleep before sunset. But the sky now shows like the sun is about to rise.

He then glanced at the watch on his wrist. Forty-six minutes after five. His eyes widen. Looks like he slept through the night.

"The doctor will come to examine the patient after breakfast," said the nurse who had finished recording Macy's condition.

Andrew nodded again and let the nurse leave the room. After closing the door, he rubbed his head. Oh, he didn't intend to sleep through the night. Maybe only a few hours before he could return to the apartment, take some of Macy's clothes and come back in the morning before the woman woke up.

"Ha ha..." Frustrated, he sat on the chair and looked at Macy who was still fast asleep. His facial expression softened and he smiled faintly.

Then he took out his cell phone. He stared at her for a few seconds before he put it in Macy's hand. "I'll be back," he whispered softly.

At least, by leaving his cell phone, Macy would know that he would return to the hospital. Andrew grabbed his hat and put it on then slightly lowered it to cover part of his face.

Then he left the infirmary.

Hani pressed Macy's apartment bell button. Since yesterday, she couldn't contact her friend at all. And she had left several messages but Macy didn't respond. Usually, even though she is very busy, the woman will take the time to reply to all her messages. But this time, Hani did not get any news from Macy at all.

So, this morning before she left for her office, the Lawyer took the time to stop by Macy's apartment. With the hope that she can meet her friend and make sure that the woman's condition is fine.

Hani hissed in annoyance. She pressed the bell again. But still no response. It's impossible if Macy doesn't come home. And even though she knew the woman was very busy, she was sure that the editor wouldn't stay at the office just for work. Even when she got married, no matter how busy Macy was, she would always come home.

But this time is so different.

Hani sighed and was about to leave the unit when she saw Andrew's figure. Her footsteps stopped. She stared intently at the man.

"Macy is not at home," said Andrew.

Hani's one eyebrow raised. How could the man know that Macy wasn't in her unit, whereas if she saw the man's condition, she could easily guess that the writer had just returned though she doesn't know where the guy is from.
