Macy looked at the car in front of her. She thought that it would not be easy to fix it. Even if she had to spend money, it would not be better to use it to buy a new car than to repair the car. Well, she might be able to ask Hani to take care of her car papers.

A policeman approached her to give her the car keys.

"Are you going to fix it?"

Macy took the key. "It will be too expensive. I'll just pick up some of the stuff that's still in the car. My lawyer will probably come to take care of the paperwork."

The policeman nodded. "It was probably a good decision. And maybe your car will still be here for two weeks during the investigation. Then I'll just go inside. When you're done, you can leave the key in the evidence section."

Macy smiled and nodded slightly. The police then left her with her car. The editor took a deep breath before she turned off the car alarm. Well, at least the engine and the car's security system are still functioning. If the investigation is complete, the police might be able to take advantage of it.

She then opened the door and saw the condition in her car. Nothing was lost.

"I'm sorry..." she mumbled softly.

Then she climbed in and took a photo of Marcus on the dashboard of the car and several other items. She also checked several parts so that no personal belongings were left behind.

It's not that much, so she can put it in her jacket pocket. When finished, Macy closed the car door before returning the keys to the evidence section. Well, on the way home, she will call Hani.

Ken smiled when he saw Marcus walking out of his class. Several of his peers were already running down the hall to the main entrance of the lobby where their parents were waiting. And when their teacher left the classroom, he bowed in greeting. The teacher returned the greeting with a small smile. Then Ken focused on Marcus. The son walked limply to his father. Ken frowned then crouched down to match his height with the boy. He stretched out his hand.

Marcus took the hand. Ken then kissed the back of his son's hand.

"Why are you so lethargic? Why not smile like usual?" Ken asked.

Marcus looked at his father. "Is Daddy with Aunt Katy?"

"No. Today, I came alone. Why?"

The boy was silent for a moment. As if he was considering something. Ken waited until Marcus spoke.

"Can we go and see Mommy today?"

This time, it was Ken who became silent for a moment. He then took his son's hands. "Didn't your mom meet you last week at school? Your teacher told me that mommy came to school."

Marcus looked down. He had deliberately not told his father about it. But who would have thought that the teacher would tell Ken? Then if his father already knows, why not ask Marcus who covered up his mother's arrival.

"Marcus..."

"I just miss mommy."

Ken let out a short breath. "The appointment with mommy is still ten days away."

The boy raised his head and stared intently at his father. "But I want to meet her now."

For now, Ken can see the similarities between Marcus and Macy. Sometimes it makes him think. The mother and son are too similar, his son even mentions it more often and seems to compare Macy with Katy.
